Hi new to here just recently purchased a 95 gsx with a 6 bolt swap. The coolant lines to the oil filter housing is not connected. Apparently the water pipe is not a turbo pipe so I have no nipple to route the water . Was thinking on using a tee to flow the system. My question is how critical is the water lines to the houseing and should I just not worry about it?

If you are only drag racing your car you can usually do without and oil cooler. But if you intend to push it hard for extended lengths of time than an oil cooler is a critical component to keep your engine healthy.

I notice that you are in SC where it is pretty damn hot in the summer so I would say that if you street/ freeway drive the car then an oil cooler is good idea so you should hook it up. A tee may work out for it or you could get a turbo water pipe and install it.

Also, as I think about it your turbo is also not water cooled if you do not have a water pipe from a turbo car. And even if you are running a Holset or some other turbo that isn't designed to be water cooled, I would be very concerned about keeping oil temperatures down as it it the only thing cooling down your turbo and keeping it happy.

Thanks for response I do plan on using car for mostly a daily so I'll try the tee seems cooler or heated oil seems useful
