Im going to the track soon for the 1st time. I was wondering what gear you auto guys are cross the 1/4 in? I think I read somewhere its not good to shift into 4th/OD
Will I not need to worry about shifting to 4th?

Chances are that if you shift into 4th you'll end up blowing your end clutches. You shouldn't boost in 4th gear! Your mod list looks pretty good though, and I wouldn't be surprised if you're running 10's if you can get a good launch! You might need some nos to spool the turbo at the line though! I know with my stock restall it slips pretty bad at high rpms and I'm debating on getting some taller tires to get a better trap speed and I'm switching to highgard trans fluid so it doesn't slip as much...

I have a 50 shot im going to start with to see how that goes and may go up if I need to. I have hoosiers they are 245/45/17 which i think is about 26inch what size height is good for a higher trap?

Sounds like you have it figured out. A 50 shot should do the trick to spool at the line. You should be able to get a 130 mph trap speed with those tires too!

FWIW, here is my info when I last went down the track:

2.0
Ross 8.3:1
Eagle Rods
2G head
Evo Springs/retainers
One legit HKS 272 cam, one Delta HKS replica 272 Cam
Evo III Intake IM
FP Exhaust Manifold
FIC 1550cc injectors
E85
DSM76 HTA turbo (55mm comp inducer rated at 59lbs/min)
29-30psi
Full weight with me in it 3395lbs

I could stall up with those cams and no nitrous on what I believe to be an IPT restalled converter I inherited.

Shifting at 8200

I trapped 130.75mph and crossed the line at 8000rpm on the dot in 3rd.

Was on fully inflated street tires, 215/55 R16 BFG Sport Comp II's

I see absolutely no reason you should need to shift into 4th.

My setup now is a bit different. 10.5:comp, GSC S2 cams, and the car gets stuck at 2800rpm with these cams. I just put a 35 shot on last weekend and the car gets over the hump and on the 2 step quick.

Hoping to hit the 1/8 at the end of this month, and the 1/4 at the end of next.

How do you have your 2 step set up? What rpm is it set at?

2 step is through the dynatek arc-2 triggered via the brake pedal through an activation switch. I have it set at 3600-3700rpm, but every car is different so you will just need to play with it.
