Hi, everyone I've been looking for some front and rear full polyurethane motor mounts, only to find out that there isn't any good options. However, I found that black_gst (Adam) used to make some for 2gs awhile back. Currently he does not produced them anymore, and I've read a lot of problems using the Avid mounts. So I contacted Adam back in Jan. asking him if he decided to make anymore, and he said he is not but is thinking about making a batch. I pm him about every other month for an update and still no avail. However, I recently asked him if I can get enough people interested in them would he considered making some. He is willing to look into it if there is enough interest :D. So I'm making this thread to see if there is anybody who is also wanting a set to help convince him to make us some awesome F&R roll stops and not just crappy inserts currently on the market.

If anyone has any personal experience with these mounts please post your thoughts. Also here is a link on to how install them with some feedback from fellow tuners.

Prothane already makes them. What are you trying to do?

I'm trying to get black_gst to make his front and rear roll stops again, but I need to see if there is enough interest in them. Since there is problem with aftermarket mounts not fitting correctly it would be nice to be able to use stock mounts with full poly bushings and not just inserts.

Also, Prothane makes a set, however, only the engine and transmission mounts are solid the front and rear roll stops are just inserts.

I believe these were offered in two different durometers (75 and 90). I would be interested in a set if he decides to move forward with a group buy.

For anyone that is unaware of bushings that black_gst offered, here are the install instructions:

Thanks, I apparently added the link to page 2 :ohdamn:. If we get enough people interested I'll send Adam the link to this thread. I don't know any pricing or anything yet, but I'll probably take two sets myself.

Odd. Bought mine in summer 2009 or 2010, but it was a full kit. The only thing was that some were two piece as you go in from each side but still completely replaced all oem bushings and had to burn out/cut out the stockers.
Exactly like this but red. No inserts here..

13-506-BL, front roll stop bushing. might help for the fwd guys, unless it can also be used for awd

Those are only for 1gs and not 2gs, which are still for sale I seen. This is why the 2g guys needs Black_gst to make some again. So if anyone knows somebody that's in the market for some F&R mounts send them to this thread. If we can get at least 10 people interested in a set I'll link the thread to Adam.

My bad, assumed they would make the same essential product for the next generation.. wonder why they stopped doing full set.

... sneaks quietly out the backdoor

So it's been awhile and still not much interested as I hope. However, I know I need 3 sets for myself, my wife, and my friend plus one for Nate. That's a total of four sets, and I'm not sure that would be enough for him to consider making them. If anyone has any ideas on how to get some interest drummed up please let me know or do so on your own. I would like to get at least 8-10 sets before presenting him with the order interest. Thanks

Hey guys nice to see there's some interest in these. I think last time I had some they sold for approx $130 shipped, I'd imagine they might be priced a tad higher as cost of everything (aluminum, polyurethane and shipping costs)has probably gone up. My concern is that most would consider that too high.

Another issue is that the molds I used previously were really just prototype molds and I don't feel comfortable using them anymore as they did have minor issues. I would want to make all new molds and have them fully CNC machined so that fitment would be one point. Of course that won't be cheap, realistically I would probably need to make 20 sets to absorb this cost,

Also I'm also a very busy person and this all takes a large amount of time on my part and I'm concerned that it would take me longer to do then what most of you feel is reasonable. So I'd be hesitant to take anyone's money and promise a delivery date.

So that's more or less the crossroad I'm at with these.

I would.much rather have the molds made then take orders but im doubtful that's there's enough Interest that I'll break even

Thanks for stopping in Adam. I personally believe the extra cost is still worth it from all of the excellent reviews on these. Being able to get some solid mounts with oem fitment vs the aftermarket mounts that don't seem to fit very well. With that said we can start a list with a goal of 20 people in. If you could make a good estimate on a final price that would help.

If anybody wants to help get the word out that would be great.
