Are you at import face off Milan dragway

Yes, I took 2nd place in the IFO FIS class. I was #2 qualifier. #1 qualifier took 1st place (David Bruzewski's 9.5 second 6466 Evo)

Simple math. 6466>6262 :). Didn't you enter a car show? How did you do on that?
Yep, I'd say the rules are fair though as the auto's get the advantage (i'm still a noob at staging however I learned a lot at this event and what to do in certain situations).

Car show is this weekend. Figured i'd enter as they shut down my street for hundreds of cars. Maybe i'll get a trophy for something import related haha.

Man i should give you my 1gb to do..i love the level of quality you put into it. Where did you get the headlights? I've wanted a pair forever.
I really appreciate the kind words. I'm always open for working on other people's car. I'll have shop space soon.

The headlights I found off a member on one of the DSM classifieds. Pretty rare find for sure.

I think after running in this class (forced induction sport, 62mm limit for auto), i'm going to keep the car on a 62mm. I'd like to check out the PTE 6270 in a T4 divided housing, placed on a top mount manifold. Maybe run some more nitrous too and larger cams/intake manifold. I'd like to win this class some day.

Car needs to loose some weight as well. I think i'm going to ditch the stock seats for kirkeys and possibly find the motivation to remove all the sound deadening on the floor.

Building a new exhaust for it, the 4" I threw on the car was from my Evo and only temporary. I half-assed it pretty good just to get it on there.

New will be 3" aluminum to mate up to my existing 3" aluminum downpipe. Just waiting on some piping to arrive Monday. Muffler is made by vibrant.

Going to try and get it tucked up under there as tight as possible.

Why not go with 3.5"? I run 3" aluminum exhaust with the same muffler. I should've went with 3.5".

What kind of CF hood is it?

I had a lot of 3" material already so I decided to go that route. I don't think it will be much of a restriction with my low power level. The added back pressure will help get up on the converter I would imagine. I plan to make an exhaust that goes out the front bumper with my next turbo setup, and really only using the 3" for classes that require a full exhaust.

It's a SEIBON cf hood.

I believe upgrades are in progress and 62mm fits a lot of classes while still having a fast car.

Super clean car? What made you go with the 6262 route and why not bigger? Before you went nitrous what rpms were you seeing full boost at?
Thank you. I had the 6262 left over from my Evo so I decided to run it. It also lets me run in a few street car classes. It doesn't make any different with full boost as I only use nitrous to stall the converter.

Totally!

Scott, are you not worried about the aluminum muffler taking a crap on you? I've seen a few stories of the internal baffling corroding in a relatively short amount of time.
They've been great for me. I had an aluminum one on my Evo for 3 years and it still looked pretty new and sounded the same.

I think you're right about him upgrading, saw the Buschur 1g hot side go up for sale on facebook not too long ago.
Yep, I am upgrading to a top mount T4 divided twin scroll setup, most likely a Borg Warner SXE turbo (6268) :)

I forgot to write about the Shootout. The car ran great all weekend and we got it up on the converter without nitrous. Unfortunately my battery drained in the lanes while waiting 3 hours because I forgot to rewire the constant draw saturn alternator to kill power when the key is off. oops...

Here's one of my qualifying runs though. I hadn't tested hitting it in the first light then bumping forward to the 2nd light for eliminations until after this video. Decided to play it safe here...

Scott, is your alternator a 1 wire alt? This is the first I've ever heard of constant amp draw.
I should have worded that differently.

It's not a 1 wire alt, but I did not wire it properly. If you don't supply it with a switched 12v on one of the connections, it will not turn off and drain the battery. The DSM power wire for the alt is constant 12v.
