Great numbers. I'm thinking about swapping to a 6266 turbo. When do you hit full boost? I wanna get into the 9s. Here's my set up have any recommendations?

10:1 wiseco with Manley rods acl bearings. Stage 3 head. 282 cams. Borg Warner 258rs. Side exit exhaust. Sbr fmic. Dsm translator. Dsmlink v2.5 hks ssqv. Tial 38mm through hood. Punishment t3 exhaust manifold. Alum rad slim fans. Rear mount battery with shutoff switch. 1000cc injectors. Aem can gears. Old school Dejon intake manifold. Act lightweight flywheel and 2900 clutch. Shep stage 3 trans with welded diff. 1inch lower springs. Ss clutch lines welded pedal assembly. Walbro 450. Adjustable fpr. Only main hoop of cage is welded in needs finished have the parts. Have most of interior minus radio. Made 560 at 34 psi. Mitsu metal head gasket and arp l19 studs. Tuned on q16.Has went a best of 10.5.

Also who tunes your car?

I have to look at the logger but I think its around 5700. The turbo is super quick on the spool. I am running a lower gear ratio evo 1 3.909. when the engine was in the fwd with the taller gear I would see full boost around 5400 rpm. Now mine you my full boost is 40psi.

Do you think the 6266 with a twin t4 would get me there
To be honest i rightfully can't say considering that I haven't been in the 9s. I am definitely going to the track first friday after the 1/2 mile event if i break 9s I will come back with an affirmative answer! I have seen only a few evo guys break nine with the 6266 but have seen plenty do it with a 6466. The 6266 gen2 on my car is rated 900hp so make sure if you are thinking of the 6266 get the gen2 version.

I am wondering why i see lots of "Dyno" numbers being posted in 3rd gear. What is that? When I was running a Dyno at previous job, we were trained to do a Dyno pull in the gear closest to a 1:1 ratio. So, if you have a 5 speed it would be 4th gear, 6 speed it would be in 5th and so on. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks

I always do both. Most dsmers don't want to subject the 4th gear to the effects of load it is one of the main gears that strip teeth in our trannies.

At what power level does this become a concern? Just curious...
Also, when are we gonna see some awhp numbers?
Some say 550whp and up I guess it just depends. As far as awd numbers it my be a minute my current clutch has its limits. I wanted to change it before the 1/2 Mile event but decided to turn the boost down instead so I can run the event.

Then it's not true horsepower numbers then! They are skewed it is not a one to one ratio so therefore Dino numbers are true.

I understand not wanting to tear stuff up on the Dyno, but when people post 500, 600, 700 all wheel horsepower and they're doing a pull in third gear the hp numbers are not true so, what's the point?

I only seen minimal differences between 3rd and 4th. I made 10hp less in 3rd than 4th and about 40 ft lbs torque less in 3rd than 4th. the point is if they post 600 in 3rd they will post more in 4th . This has always been my experience.

Take the monster gst and turn it into a gsx or put your set up in a gsx. You have an awesome car, you do good work. Keep up the good work!
Think thays what he is doing LOL the fwd got wrecked by some careless fool. If I'm correct.

Btw in regards to the 3rd or 4th gear pulls. It seems most do 3rd for compairison i wouldnt want to load 4th on a dyno, rather see how 4th feels at the end of the 1320

6466 for the win to both of you haha

It's all a personal choice I guess, but without a 1:1 ratio the numbers aren't accurate. To each his own. Even Midwest street cars runs their Dyno as close to 1:1 even when Dynoing a 1,200 hp truck or a 3,000hp car to give accurate numbers. Dynos are made to take the load that's what they were designed for but, hey what do I know!! :beatentodeath::banghead:

Its not a concern about hurting the dyno it's a concern about breaking the Transmission.

Hey I was wondering what your fuel system set up is I have a 6466 and I'm putting my car back together trying to decided what I should put in fuel system wise.

I work at a professional transmission shop. If you're breaking stuff you're not building it correctly. Automatics don't have that problem.

Alright awesome I have a 450 in tank and 2200 injectors it looked like I'm going to need another fuel pump or a bigger one the 450 alone I'll most likely max out pretty quickly

Ita not about how it's built it's the fact that the parts are weak with signififant power. It's like a known thing

Ive got a 6466 also ive been fine with single walbro 450 up to 38psi, but it never hurts to add an inline, i wasnt at the same duty cycle as kelvin though. And in on e85@keltalon probably time for a -8 feed to lower that a wee bit LOL
