Why is the site so slow these days?

exactly what the title asks... things are really slow, I have to type slow or the posting box will miss half the letters I type. Also the search function doesn't return anything for me these days although I can find the threads through google most times just adding "dsmtuners" to the search criteria

Love this site and been here a long time, just kinda saddens me to see it running poorly. It seems to have been since the new format was implemented.

Same. I search for posts on here with no results, type the same thing into google and get a page full. The posting box doesn't lag for me, but notifications take FOREVER. As in, I got a notification today that someone replied to a post of mine 2 days ago.

Yup you guys aren't alone, on my laptop or at work, it's a bit laggy. I don't have any issue with notifications though

Hmm...Only my phone runs slow occasionally. My comp (5 yr old Asus laptop running Windows 10) seems to run just fine. Sporadic maybe? I don't even have great internet cuz I'm in a rural area, runs off radio towers! Haha

Yea Glenn using my phone the text box lags like no other for me too. Half the time I start erasing thinking it's frozen then all of a sudden it actually shows what I was typing ( and then of course the back spaces catch up :/ ).

Well glenn everything good comes to an end. I remember when there was at lease 3000 members online at one time now it barley gets to 100 members This has a lot to do with if for sure!

I've been getting shockwave flash or something of the sort issues while using Chrome on the PC and it's extremely slow on my Android phone. Tried Firefox and that didn't help much.

Constant IE crashes on my work computer from the site. I think it's the square ad on the right bar that is causing it. Happens probably about 5-10 times a day it seems.

disable flash, one of the advertisers is using a flash banner or something with a bug in it. I run a debugger on firefox once and it was flash play kept freezing, as soon as I killed flash the site responded again

Yea Google works much better, as for the site freezing and not responding, I disabled flash and it works so much better now

My reference to the site has nothing to do with how fast the site load my pages. I was referencing the slow activity of members. Participation is going down hill fast a true sign of the dsm future!
