Okay so my car has this thing that's pretty much acting like a second radiotor and is sitting in front of the radiotor with the coolant lines that used to be connected to the firewall cut off that were for the heater core. I want to delete this part but if I take out the hoses coolant starts coming out that come from the coolant housing when I trace back the hoses. How can I take this part out?

yeah it is. The guy I bought it from said it was to make the engine bay run cooler but I'm not sure to just try to delete it or maybe even try to relocate it if that's a good idea.

I bet the car would run cooler if the PO just ran the appropriate radiator fans. The small fan on the passenger side is definitely not up the job. I am not sure how/why the PO was thinking, but I would definitely look at returning it to stock form and tracking down some stock radiator fans.

Thats a radiator to help cooling the engine you have no heater at least the stock heatercore is not hoocked up, take a pick where the hoses attached to, i bet they goes to the thermostat housing and the water pipe.
If thats the case all what you need to do is hook up one end of the thermostat housing outlet to the water pioe and you are set.

Now if you want to use the oem heater to have heat in the cabin, then hook up the water pipe oitlet the the firewall tube and the thermostat housing outlet to the other tube ag the firewall

Yeah past owner was crazy to say the least. He decided to upgrade intercooler and bov instead of doing maintenance and replacing gaskets because of leaks on this car so that's basically what I've been doing since I got the car.

you are correct to as to where they go. Thanks for that info

Do you know if having this little radiator actually helps or its not really gonna make a difference if I delete it?

Alright thanks for the help. Definitely will be getting a better fan than this autozone one he put on. Haven't seen any symptoms of a blown head gasket but my friend said the heater core was probably leaking and this was a quick fix

If the heater core was bad he would of dealeted (looping the hoses) and done with it,.
To me looks more like it was overheating like 2gmitsueclipse said (post #4) he install a mini fan and didnt keep up, instead putting a good fan he desided to add a 2d radiator t help cooling the motor (realy bad idea).

To the OP, remove the radiator and hook up the heater, remove the mini fan and add a dual fan (shroud style) and you should be golden.
