Nice color Brian, very nice. I'm just hoping the 45 profile on these RE11's (245/17)along with these spacers will prevent rubbing on the suspension.

You bumped a 5 and a half year old thread to say nice color?

Anyway, the only way I see properly fitting a wide 255 tire on a 2g is with a 17(18)x9 +35 rim. Performance tires always run wider than "street" tires. I currently have 245/40/18 Yokohama A13c tires and they just barely fit. (yoko's are known to run super wide) I still rub quite a bit, but only during autocross events and big dips on the road. I want 255 wide RE71's or V720's, but they will for sure rub and my car isn't "hella low yo!". I'll save the wide tires for when I flare out the fenders and go balls out to some 285's. For now, 255 vs 245 isn't going to slow me down much.

I ended up fitting 255/40/17 R888's on Kosei K1-TS 17x8 +35. Then fit some 255/40/17 Hankook K110's on it as well. I did roll and pull the rears. The fronts rubbed on hard bumps while turned.

Fun fact. The wheels and 255's are now on my 1g NT beater on stock suspension .... it's like it's on rails.

I have 17x9 +35 Enkei RPF1 that I bought three years ago but wussed out and got them with 235 tires. I just rolled my rear fenders last month and plan on stepping up to 255 soon.

Yep I sure did and your smart ass response still has nothing to do with me opening this back up nor my issue as to whether my tire size would rubSMH!
