I'm waiting on my buddy to help me fab up a new dump tube after relocating my wastegate. Anyways I decided to go out and do a couple of test hits and low and behold I have a strange fuel cut/backfire/popping/surge before at about 6500-7000 RPM depending on what gear I am in. I'm wondering if dumping directly near the alternator is causing some voltage drops up top? Stupid me didn't log voltage....fml haha I'm going out and doing another run tomorrow, just wondering what you all have to say.

Ok so went out this morning and did a pull. First Pull I got 23 lbs of boost up to 7500, no problem. Voltage was at about 13.0. Did another pull 30 minutes later, was a little hotter out, and I got the same annoying fuel cut /Pop/ and didn't hit full boost. Well I checked log and voltage is at 12.6/7 during that shitty pull. So I'm guessing the heat from the dump tube being so close to the alternator is causing this voltage drop!

From what I understand voltage drop is normal as you get into the higher RPM range. I don't recommend dumping on top of the alternator but I don't believe you're misfire is coming from the alternator.
