I want a new engine for my eclipse because the one in their has overheated and it was fast but I want faster preferably. I would love it for it to be a drop in engine. The stock engine was fast before it was overheated but it could easily 160 and no there was not an upgrade only a racing exhaust.

Get a gst, and throw another 420a in the car mentioned

If you would search a bit you will find people successfully swapping in evo 4g63's into their nt dsm's.

I know you can do that but I looked into that but alot of people said there was fabrication needing to be done. I also dont have the money for a new body this current body means alot to me.

Here's some things you can do, each getting progressively more difficult:

-Rebuild the 420A and turbo it
-Do a 2.4 EDZ swap
-Swap in a SRT4 engine
-Swap in an EVO 4G63

Even all said and done you're stuck with a front wheel drive platform. The 2G N/T platform also has a lot less aftermarket and tuning options. Whatever route you go will cost a lot of time and $$.

Meanwhile, all wheel drive 4G powered DSMs are being sold at bargain prices...

Ok so can i put every single gs body part skirts hood etc on a gst?

Yes. All cosmetics are transferable.

how do i do the roof though that seems really complicated for some reason and the 95 gs is there a certain gst that it will fit on

A roof? Why do you need to swap a roof?

It's a decent engine just not a lot of upgrade ability and I want to swap the roof to a gst because much better engine upgrades etcetera

I still don't understand why you are saying you need to swap the "roof"...

I'm getting a gst but I have a gs with the colors I like so I want to swap the body parts over

You can't just swap the roof out. Your best bet and easiest solution is to just get it repainted the color you want. Same with the quarter panels on the car.

Nobody online is going to be able to help you with that. You will need to get estimates from autobody shops in your area as this can greatly vary.

Hey guys, new here, I have a 98 eclipse, bought it from original owner, the motor seized and I'm stuck with the car. The body is in great condition, have a small loan on it still, got screwed by insurance, so still paying on it. Any ideas on what I could do? Part it? throw another motor in? Thanks!
