Hey guys~ how's it going?
Been a while since I've been around. Since I traded Onyx off to a member here on the forums I've ventured into the big engine world and been working a lot with LS platform builds, but decided I would head back over here to take a peek at the community. Was curious about how active everyone was, what people have been up to, etc. Basically just see how things are going.
I think one of the funniest things I've dealt with since stepping out of the DSM scene for a while has been how much information I've transferred over to the big engine world that just works from this one. I find myself referencing turbos, how they function, proper fuel delivery, and so on based on what's been established here. You wouldn't believe how many of the guys in the 8 cylinder world just believe a turbo is a turbo and size is about everything. "The bigger the turbo, you faster you cross the line at the end." After a few weeks of discussion, I talked a shop over here into using a pair of Holsets on their LS1 wagon and checking out the results. So with a pair of truck manifolds, a tig welder, and some placement corrections the shop owner has now seen some of his fastest passes and is sold on the use of dodge diesel turbo's. Hahah.
But anywho, just wanted to check in and see if anyone I recall is still lurking around this place!
