I just found out I spun a bearing and put some pretty good scarring on the crank and I'm pretty sure I need a new crank my question is what cranks could i use such as an evo crank and so on also how bad are remanufactured cranks? And if anyone knows were I could find a good deal on a crank please let me know
Thanks

I would take your crank to a machine shop before you label it dead. Let them tell you if its past redemption.
+1 on having a machine shop look at the crank first. My 7 bolt crank was totally scratched on EVERY bearing, and it wasn't trash yet.

Beware of grinding your crank undersize. These units were heat treated by Mitsubishi and if you turn them you will take the layer of hardening with it. This leaves the crank more vulnerable to wear a lot sooner than it ordinarily would be. Have the machine shop check and see if it is polish-able. If they say the word "grind" or "turn" look for another crank. A cheap way to tell is the good old fingernail test. Drag your fingernail across the journal and if it catches your fingernail, find another crank. If not it can MOST LIKELY be polished.

I thought the cranks had a nitride coating
