I have never had a turbo. I dont know how to understand all this. Is tgere like anyone who can tutor me?
 
What's the main issue your having? Also what car do you have?
95 eclipse 2.0 turbo manual gst. I just dont understand anything the only thing i honestly understand is push clutch in shift press gas as let out on clutch

We need to understand what you're asking. Do you want to know how to drive the car? How to work on it? You need to make clear what you need help with.

First working on it gotta replace starter and turbo. Im trying to do that now. Then after i will worry about precqutions my main concern is getting it running right now

here is removal/installation of the turbo. post up some pictures of your car and i'll post up the info for the starter.

Just to be helpful, some basic mechanical knowledge will be helpful when owning one of these, or any other, vehicles. Buying a haynes, chiltons or better yet a factory service manual, and reading through them will improve your grasp on functionality greatly.

As for how things work, namely a turbo, google is your freind. I suggest searching "how does a _______ work", applying whatever part or area you're curious about to the blank space.

Lots of reading and research ahead of you, that will be better than the thousands of various explanations you can get here most likely, but we can help with more specific areas once you narrow down those curiosities.

It doesnt have either of them so ii gotta put them on and i planned on that tnrw after work i havr given up on it for tonight

so you have a 1g blow off valve, thats good

and an EGT probe in the exhaust manifold. so you have the gauge to go with the probe , right? does it work?
---(EGT = exhaust gas temp) aka. pyrometer

did you take the piece of your upper intercooler pipe, between the blow off valve and throttle body elbow off to make it easier to get to the starter? or is it missing?

Uh i was told needs to be hooked up. But one step at a time. And can you dumb it down for me a little bit more. Im sorry.

I took your picture of "Frank" and added an arrow and circle.

What DB is talking about in bold is the arrow I have placed on the Left side of your engine.

The Circle I placed on your exhaust manifold shows that there is indeed a turbo installed(bolted to the manifold, Downpipe is connected, and air filter is connected). If you are not making boost and have not removed anything then it would be because of the missing pipe to the left of the engine(Arrow).

Could you take a picture facing down in between the engine and radiator? That way we have more knowledge of this "missing Turbo".

I know how to change the oil tires and spark plugs...
