I live with my parents and I literally give them like 1500 out of 2000 I make monthly. The other 500 I use to pay some bills I have and for gas. All my other few friends I have give them 500 or less monthly and get to keep all their money. I work harder than them and they have more fun than me at movies, fast food places.....ect. Life's not fair. They always bi*** about me not wanting to spend money outside so I always tell them to tell me how much money they get to keep each month, then they shut up.........they don't like it when I tell them....."I work harder than you give my money away and you take it easy and keep most your money."

Just stay in college and once you get a good job with your new degree, you'll be making good money and they'll still be working at Walmart, living at home. And while you're at it, if you can get some cash from financial aid, that always helps getting some new go fast parts. That's pretty much what I use my financial aid money for since my cost of attendance is only like 600 bucks . Then again, I do go to a JC.

Stay in school and call them all Ken Block wannabees. Your doing the smart thing by getting a degree. I just finished my A.A.S. and was offered a job for 45,000 a year. Couldnt take it but still felt good.

When they bash your ride tell them talk is cheap. And if they were really badass they would cut the play ground bullsh!t and and bring it to the drag strip. But for heavens sake bring your best game and show them up. If they have a better car make them push it as hard as possible and something will let go. Just be sure to check all the things that could go wrong for you and beef it up or swap it out. Mechanical failures happen but can be prevented. They wont know what to check and if your lucky one of them will become a Smokey the Subie when they run it lean from go fast parts and no tuning.

In ten years you won't even remember most of them and 75% of those cars will be junked. No matter what car you get now, it won't last you a lifetime, but your college degree will. Enjoy your car, have fun and finish school. Your time will come soon enough if you work hard!

To make this quick and painless.......I went to school, busted my a** for the 2nd top of my class and still was able to get my 84' Honda CRX Si that to add was "Banana Yellow" and the world's loudest exhuast and eveyone else with Sti/G35/ even one kid with a NSX that wrapped it around a telephone pole 1 week later...anyway I now go to college to make double what they will make, have a full-time job and looking forward to my "10-15 YEAR" HS reuinion to see everyone in their horrible lives! Joking or am I? .....look at life on the positive side and keep your head up!

O.P: I'm 34, and the people who sacrificed school to own a fast car after high school have gone no where. Laughable, really. Just focus on you and your education.

Tell them to line that shit up, and bust all their ass... if he just bought it, and hes a beginner driver, he probably doesnt know how to launch for shit... then when i beat him, id start calling out all the other sti handjobs...thats what i would do

or these kids could later land a massive break in life and end up somewhere making 4x more than any one of us whilst having to put forth little to no effort, thus negating almost all opinions here that they will fail later and you will be better off if you stick with school, etc.

point is, who gives an f about these people. you have your own life to live, not theirs. stop measuring yourself against their immediate situation. they could turn out to be successes or failures later, who cares.

if they become failures, is that your ticket to feeling good about yourself? is that the general message being conveyed to the OP here? take pleasure in others' shortcomings? im sure we would be saying how immature that would be if they were doing it.. only difference is they may be doing it now whereas youre being suggested to wait until you graduate and make a million dollars before you can do it to them.

There where lots of wastes of skin like that in my high school were I grew up. I couldn't tell you what they are doing now and nor do I care (didn't care then either).
Fact is most these people won't be in your life forever so they are not worth the effort.

A good ole a** beating always solves stuckup kids, either physical or with your car .
Hell now that I drive a BMW people expect me to be some douchebag 20 y/o and they look at me different, I just ignore them cause they would rather judge then to actually get to know me.

Simple- have your car meets at the drag strip on Test & Tune nights. Kinda "put up or shut up" mode for those who like to run their mouths, and much safer than being an asshat out on the highway.

Personally (and this is just me so dont listen to me) but i would secretly in the middle of the night do 1 of 2 things, either put sand in there oil and sit back and laugh the next day when they destroy there "built engine" or id reain all the oil or coolant (with my buckets so i dont leave a wet trail) and once again just sit back and watch them blow and engine hehe but im evil tho

I just finished with my four year undergrad in science, and your resonated with me, if you want some advice here's mine.. just DO you, and don't worry about what others think. At the end of the day your in school to better yourself educate yourself so you don't have to stoop to their level one day. A man is measured by the size of his heart, not by the some of his parts.

I built up a SRT4 in highschool and a DSM in college, I'm only 23 y/o. Its a lifestyle, its my hobbie, its my drug. You consider yourself a car enthusiast and like working on cars? Then stick w your DSM and fu*k the rest. From my personal experience, your going to have to beat them in a race to shut them up or they jus gunna keep talking, be smart about it and take em to the track.

but why waste your time?
All you gotta do is pull up a pic of the Boostin performance's red demon, and be like "see this sh*t,! That's what my car COULD become!"
