Using the 98/99 Black box ecu is there values in the ECUflash while connected to the ECU to disable EVAP and EGR codes etc? Bought a cheap project car that came with black box and im currently going thru the motor and cleaning up the engine bay so all that junk is getting deleted. Just curious if i can turn of the CELs inside of ecuflash, i know you can with the EVO ecu but ive never tuned a DSM black box ecu.

I don't see why not if you're deleting the hardware out of the car. One thing you learn when making changes to software on computers is that you always make a backup before you edit things. That is the number one rule. If you have a backup it doesn't matter how much you fudge the code/tune because you can always go back to a working version before you deleted the cels if there are undesired effects.

Yes you can. Let me pull up my tune and look.
- In ecuflach scroll down to Periphery.
- Under that section open the ECU Periphery 1 Bits (282)
I turned off Bits 1 -3, 6, 9, and 11-15. ( It is not tested yet, but I turned off O2 sensor CEL because my wideband is in the downstream port and I have an issue with Heater circuit in port 1)
My goal is to remove the evap solenoids without CELs.

If you're using the Ceddy Mods ROM then all of the periphery bits you are concerned with will be in tables 0 and 2. Below are the tables as seen in my ROM that I'm currently running with EGR and the charcoal can deleted, as well as the rear o2 removed; I have no CELs at all. My car is a '95 Talon TSi so it also does not have the EVAP system that the 98 ecu is looking for either, so these bit values should solve your EVAP CEL as well.
