Car is a 97 Eclipse Spyder GST with a 6 bolt that was running. It has a brand new manufacturer starter and a brand new battery. Battery terminals are nice and clean.

The relay clicks when the key is turned on. It does not crank when I turn the key. I tried to jump the starter solenoid manually and it does not turn the motor. The motor spins freely with a ratchet.

What am I not seeing that I should know?

Check your main starter ground wire that comes straight from battery to starter also check the positive. Worst is that new starter is no good.

So it was running before and just stopped all the sudden? Or did you replace the starter and battery and now its not cranking?

This should be all you need to figure it out!
