Do you have a manual boost controller?

Nope just running wastegate. Bought the car been doing tons of maintenance. But have not figured this one out yet. Figured replacing the bad wategate would make it better not slow as hell

Did you check if the flapper is fully closed with the wastegate actuator installed? if it is slightly open then it spools but not as fast as it should.

Sounds like a turbo rebuild is in order or you have a bad exhaust leak. I am going through the same as you almost.

11-12 psi on a 16g isn't exactly makin power. Pull hills? What do you mean going fast uphill? And when your wastegate was bad, do you mean it never opened? Or never closed? You haven't mentioned spool time, once your at a certain boost level the wastegate isn't going to make it faster or slower. The amount of boost( airflow) is what makes power.

Back to 11-12 psi on a 16g, the car shouldn't feel like a pig, but is prob in the 200 hp range on a healthy car. Compression test? Low comp numbers are gonna need more boost to make up that threshold. Granted a rebuild will also be good ha.

Is it a completely stock car with a 16g?
When does the 16g spool up with the wastegate replaced?
What psi did you test for leaks at? How quickly did it bleed down?

Also need to check base ignition timing and verify crank to cam timing at tdc

Wastegate never opened it would hit 24lbs or whatever.

I mean it doesnt pull hills at all have to downshift on little hills.

As for stock on a 16g no. I have a 3inch downpipe amd exhaust. Open dump 02 housing. Intercooler piping. Bov. 550s. Fuelab adjustable fuel pressure regulator. 2gmaf. Wideband. Boost gauge. And a couple other little things

Based on your mod list, you are doing your engine a favor by replacing the non-functional waste gate. You do not have a fuel or tuning setup to boost to 24 psi. What were your injector duty cycles and AFR's at 24 psi with 550cc injectors?
