I know, I know, you're all thinking my shear pins broke, but no. They did that years ago and I fixed them. This time, the motor on the driver side broke in half. The 90° gear block is detached from the actual motor because the four little allen screws sheared. I do not own, nor have I ever seen a screw extractor tiny enough for these pieces. Does anyone have insight on this or had it happen and fixed it?

I do not believe mechanical failure was the cause for this, but rather error on my part back when I fixed the sheer pins.

Could try to drill out those screws and re-tap the holes for larger ones. Hopefully there is enough material there to do that. Open up the gear box and look. It might be possible that those screws go all the way through, and if that is the case you should try to grab that end and twisting them out enough to grab them from 'outside' ends.

Give miller import parts a holler, he has very good prices on used parts and he just got a 97 gst spyder in. That would be much easier than trying to fix your broken top motor, not to mention the cost of a decent screw extractor set you would need to purchase and the time you would have to invest in fixing it.
