I was just about to order a fuel filter from rock auto, and I noticed several manufacturers differentiate between FWD and AWD. I'm pretty sure I used Fram G6553 on both. I realize most manufacturers make 2 versions, one OE style and one with the universal type bracket on the outlet, but I don't see how there's a difference between FWD and AWD. I realize this happens a lot on rock auto with things like control arms when there is no actual difference, and I found a Purolator fuel filter for $3 but it says "except AWD"

i don't think there is a difference at all for the fuel filter. idk but the 420a may even use the same thing. the 3000GT uses the same filter. probably for people who don't know there is no difference. like buying clutch fluid. its just renamed brake fluid

Cant see a difference between mine (gsx) and my buddies (gst) fuel filters. Not sure if you already figured this out but i hope this helps
