you can call me a turbo fanatic. I am addicted to having the best possible performance available. I inspect every turbo out I can get my hands on. just thought I would share what I believe to be the best 20g available that I have seen. this turbo is not readily available as it is made by blouch turbo. they used to make turbos for DSM, not sure how long ago they stopped. just not a strong market for them. this turbo i have here is a 20G based turbo. it was sold through CBRD as a BBK for evo8/9 and BBX for evo X. (billet blue Kompressor) honestly very pricey turbos. CBRD had exclusive rights to sell and as such market them up 400 on top of already expensive turbo and sold them with a pretty face. aside from that they are awesome turbos. they spool just a few hundred slower than stock 15g/16g turbos. and they make 80-100whp more with ease. cool part was turbo was not fussy with setup. it made great power with cars with very few mods. like stock intercoolers and cats didnt matter much. and were really impressive with when the book was thrown at them. Mike from AWD motorsports made 550/550 BBK FULL. AWD dynojet on a 2.4 E85 drag car.

both compressor wheel and turbine wheel are unique to blouch. the compressor wheel is BIG. but weighs an amazing 50grams. 7 blade 20g weighs 80grams. stock 20g weighs 71grams. the trubine wheel is 6SL2 size but is also much better design at 64mm exducer without adding weight. these suckers are definition of fast spool. I believe the turbine wheel is a garrettt stage 2 wheel machined to fit mistu cartridge. also note how blouch makes tips of wheel bigger and sinks wheel into housing rather than cut more off comp cover like most. IMHO this 20g turbo smokes the competition in overall performance.
fits inside standard cover

the evo X and evo8 stuff wasnt always an exact mirror image. some were some were not. the X version seen here is 71mm exd with 75.25 ext tips. still fits standard 20g cover.

The 8/9 BBK was also 5 blade. Blouch still makes the 20G-XT for the WRX/STI, price isn't too bad, and you can get a BB version for only $200 more. Wouldn't be too hard to adapt one to a DSM or EVO X turbine housing. It seems like they may be using a smaller turbine wheel for the Subie applications, though. I'm pretty sure they'll do custom stuff if you ask. They do still offer the Dominator 1.0 for the EVO, which might use the same/similar wheel (they don't list specs)

A friend of mine picked up a blouch Dom 3.0 for his wrx. Was a nice setup, he put down 425 on the dyno, stock block and running E85. I have a cx racing td05-20g, its held up well for 6 or 7k now, but I don't run it more than 16lbs, nothing too brutal.

I've been reading alot of threads lately and thought about a td06-20g for the next upgrade, but I've really settled on going up to a FP Red.

blouch doesnt do customer service or custom turbos. they are very big on having dealers handle sales and customer service. the subi plain bearing stuff can be used in dsm exhaust housings. the bb stuff however cant. the bb subi turbos all use garrett bb center sections. so exhaust housings are 6bolt and not c-clamp. I have a subi 20g xt on the way I just snagged off ebay. anxious to see if its the same as evo x blade but fear it will be smaller.

550/550 not so friendly on our transmissions :(
I've always thought there was huge potential in going to the EvoX platform for us, unfortunately the whole conversion could buy something in T3/T4 TS that's very nice, with room to grow.

got the subi 20g xt and it is indeed made with same compressor wheel. the hotside is 5h with 8cm. the BBX lite for the evo X also uses stock 5h hotside. guy on evom just posted a 500whp graph on the BBX lite. on moore dynojet that might be reading a bit high.
