Does anyone have any ideas as to what the quickest/fastest stock longblock Dsm is? Or a horsepower number? There's plenty of threads talking about stock shortblock but I'm looking for stock block and head times. Headstuds are okay

Saab What variant hx35 are your running im assuming a billet compressor? Everything Ive found says stock hx35 does 61lb/min. Ive always been under the impression 10hp to 1lb/min. Either way still impressive, you can build a fast dsm with a stock motor, but I still think arp hardware is a good investment and if your going for max power a set of cams.

A 2200lb car plus 200lb driver with 600whp could run 9's. Does the car have a legal cage in it already, isn't it 10point once you break into the 9's?

Im curious as to what your car looks like. Kiggly's car is 2230lbs race weight and the driveline alone of an awd is an extra 500lbs easy.

I'm not sure of the hx35 variant. I can tell you it is a 7 blade with the stock holset 12cm t/s exhaust manifold, but otherwise idk.

In regard to flow, the hx35 can flow much more than most believe. I think I may have had a slight wastegate leak at 42psi. With the right tune and support I think 750 ish whp is possible with the hx35.

I'm in process of swapping in a spare block into the car. Once done I will begin building a built engine intended to find the absolute limit of a hx35.

This came from dieseltruckresource.com

I just got an email from Holset through Cummins. All that I can say is you better think twice about upgrading your 04.5-07 turbo, it flows 67 lbs/min.

Here is the email:

"Good Afternoon,

Thank you for your enquiry,

I have spoken with our technical team and they have advised me that the HE351CW will supply a maximum of around 67 lb/min corrected to Garrett mass flow parameter.
This occurs at a speed of 130 krpm which we do not recommend to exceed (same applies to the HX35).

Kind Regards

Nikita Toulcher

I dismissed the holsets at first bc I thought it was a cheap upgrade but after doing a lot of research its a very good turbo. Decent spool, very durable, and capable. I fell into the hta68 sale but don't know if I will stick with it or not just couldn't pass it up.

The he351cw is just an hx40 with a different turbine wheel and smaller housing.
