Man, I have been on here for 5 years and dont have a 30 posts yet. I suck indeed. Anyway I just picked up my third DSM. 1997 AWD Talon. (and its an AUTO!!!! That's cool now right?)

Mechanically it was in a state of disrepair, but the exterior of the car is nice. So i fixed it up got it running and it's doing fine.

I have a Big 16g and a set of Evo 8 injectors just laying around. Figure I better throw them on. Along with the 255, FPR and some other misc parts I had. BUT before i do, I wanted to see what kind of success people have had with this injector/turbo combo. I'm not looking to be the fastest car on the street, but I do want to enjoy the car as well. Any input or tips is great. Let me know what you people have experienced using this setup. If I could take this car down the 1/4 at 12.x that would be cool.

I shared some pics, please feel free to compliment me on this impulse buy to help me feel better about my purchase. So I can hit that 30 posts, i am open to discussion as well.

Your setup will work fine for the time being. As you are dialing your setup in, just keep an eye on injector duty cycles (around 80%). I would reccomend replacing the seals on the injectors and replace the fuel filter if you have not done so recently. You have more of a sleeper setup that would pair well with a large side mount intercooler. If you are still the OE plastic bypass valve, the EVO MR bypass valve is a direct replacement and does not leak at stock boost levels like the stock one does.

The car currently has this thing on it, which is good for scaring old ladies at the grocery store, and warning squirrels of their impending doom.

Should I ditch it?

where is your CAS?

uhhhhm, Where is yours?

hahaha that is a good question. I don't know much about the CAS on these cars, however, I know there was difference in certain years. Should I be concerned? I know the engine on this is from a 1995 if that makes a difference.

Nope 95 Engine used the cam sensor under the intake cam gear. And a crank sensor by the timing belt and front crank sprocket. Then there's just a plug in the valve cover where 6bolts and 97-99 would have the cas. ;)

Nothing from me as of today. I just got the car on Saturday. Bone stock minus a K&N filter. I have almost everything in waiting. I had a 93 AWD but it had chassis issues. I'll know this weekend when it gets assembled.

I'll keep ya posted. I'm FWD 5 speed and I saw your car is an AWD auto. So my dyno numbers will be a little higher, but track times you should trump me!
