Hello, have an interesting issue. To start with I just dropped a fresh rebuilt engine in my eclipse (wiseco 8.5:1 1500hd and eagle combo), brand new head with with bc 272 cams and stock springs and retainers, walbro 255 high pressure fuel pump, and fuel lab afpr, mhi 16g (fresh), and a Megan downpipe back exhaust with a punishment racing fmic. I got ready to start it all up and the is when the problems occurred. At first I couldn't get it to idle properly, found it was an electrical timing issue and fixed that by adjusting the cas. Then when I put it in gear (it is an auto) it will die. Finally I got to drive a little and my brake pedal is rock solid (almost like I have manual brakes) and my boost gauge is reading 0. I have a freshly rebuilt throttlebody on the way but would like to know where else to look for the issues I am having before I go further. When the throttlebody comes in I will be taking my intercooler piping of and double checking for a proper seal at the couplers and I have a spare brake booster if that is the problem. Any help would be apreciated, thanks. Also, as for tuning wise I have an ecu with a key driver chip set for a 2g Mas with 450cc injectors (which are both installed).

The boost gauge is glowshift and t-ed off the afpr vacuum line good and solid. And the brake booster line is tight with no leaks? The car sat for I don't know how long. I replaced all four pads and rotors and reconditioned the calipers myself. Ran all new brake lines (a real pain to do by the way) and bled all for corners.

with 272 cams your idle will be low and so will your vacuum . try increasing your idle to 1000 rpm and see what happens .

Check for vaccum leaks it sounds to me like you have one, doing a blt would make doing this easy.

Any issue ive had with the boost gauge is always directly linked to a vaccume leak or similar somewhere, I would do a pressure test. And have you ruled out a faulty gauge if possible apply pressure directly to gauge and see if you get a reading. I'm assuming the brakes are working? Does the pedal pulse under braking at all? Could be faulty brake booster? Sounds like you have clean brake fluid if everything has been replaced. If you were having air in the system the brakes would get squishyer. Did brakes work before you had work done? somthing could be binding in the brake pedal lever itself?

Ok found the issue. The check valve in the brake booster vacuum line was faulty, replaced that now I have brakes. The gauge issue was due to the hard line going from the gauge to the t fitting was pinched so nothing was getting through. As soon as I get that figured out I find out my blow off valve is no good . At least I think it is the bov did a blt and no leaks but the valve itself is opening up at around 12 psi so as long as I stay under 12 pounds I am good. So does anyone have a good recirc.bov for sale. And thanks for the input guys much appreciated.
