I just installed a 95 gsx eprom ecu today and when I turn the key I just hear a buzzing/clicking noise. My first thought was that it was the ecu so I put the stock one back in and the noise went away. Im really at a loss right now becuase the eprom ecu looks like its in really good shape and the socket for the chip seems to be soldered in well. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Was the EPROM chip installed when you got it or did you do it?

Can you open it up and post a picture of the whole board?

I ended up putting in the chip myself. I have quite a bit of experience soldering so I dont think I messed up there but I can post a pic of the ecu tomorrow.

I ask because the buzzing and clicking is often what happens when the ECU is executing random code. I'd make sure the EPROM is in the right direction and non of the pins are bent under and not in the socket.
