I have searched and searched and haven't found a thread on here with the same symptoms as I am having. I was cruising down the interstate a while back at about 100Mph wasn't pushing any harder, just a steady cruise for a few miles on open Highway.
As I was approaching my exit got hit with a blinking CeL and car felt like its been running on 3-cylinders(could be wrong). It starts up every time, starts right up, aside from a slightly long crank occasionally.
I read the codes and it is giving me 3.
First code was 1 2-direct power input to the PCM has been disconnected within the last 50 key-on cycles.
Second was 4 3(which throws various codes) but an Obd2 that I read on it read a bouncing misfire, sometimes would say 1 and was reading as 2 other times.
and the last code was 3 1-Evaporative purge solenoid / Clogged purge line / Vacuum hose / Evaporative emission canister clogged.
The car isn't running too too terrible. Mostly steady idle about where it should be...acts like it wants to die down sometimes though but catches itself. Seems like it wants to hold back a little bit but not bogging down too hard or anything. I have changed coils, plugs, and wires, and tested catylytic converter and the car has yet to improve. I know I Need compression test but in the meantime, was wondering if anybody has had a similar issue. I'm planning on changing upstream 02 sensor next, but was wondering if anybody has any input?

It helps me get an idea of other fixed that are possible, I appreciate it. Could you tell me which part were you referring to exactly. Most said change coils which I have. Crank position sensor maybe? What would symptoms of that be?

I had blinking CEL when my spark plugs were bad, swapped in a new set and ran fine after that.
Just like yours it ran like crap when the CEL would flash, for me it was mostly under load, such as going up hills.
Sounded like a subaru.

I'd pull spark plugs and check their condition before doing anything else, if three are a light brown and one is white or black then you have a lean (white) or rich (black with a fuel smell) condition. Start with the easiest solution first and work your way forward.

The evap code might be a separate issue. 90% of the time emissions problems short of a clogged cat will not cause a misfire condition, only a check engine light.

So far to chase the issue I have changed the plugs, wires, and the coil, and I thought it may have been clogged cat, so I gutted it and it didn't do anything but that is probably my evap code that it is throwing

One of your codes is an evap system code? I don't know what all these cars have on them in terms of evap system but I had an evap code on my.wifes ford explorer and it turned out being the cannister purge valve. It was.completely shot and it caused.a misfire because it caused a.spark plug to melt. By you saying you have a misfire code and an evap system code then I'd start there.

You need three things for proper combustion, air, fuel, and spark. one of those three is far enough out of line to cause an issue.. Track each code individually and see where you end up. I work at a salvage yard, we get cars in every week for 150 bucks that just wouldn't pass inspection because of a check engine light, beyond that nothing wrong with them, and 90% of the time its an evap code or something similar, I'm not saying that it can't cause a huge issue, (Converter failure) but it wouldnt be my first place to look for a misfire.
