Ok so I'm new to the DSM world and I need some help. Recently I bought a 96 eclipse with a blow motor. It was the 420a motor, then after some research in finding out I had a 420a motor, I bought a 99 eclipse that had a bad body but good 420a motor. I swapped the 99 motor in to the 96 body and I adapted the 96 wire harness connectors to fit all the 99 sensors. I got the car to start once but it had a really bad idle so I shut it off and now it won't start. It has a really bad fuel smell after I crank it over a few times like I'm not getting spark. I'm thinking I need to swap all the 96 sensors to the 99 motor, but I'm not Shure and could use some help.

Gas is not that old and just put brand new plug in it and all the sensors are plugged in all the way and the bad idle was like it was miss firing really bad like I had after market cams or something

Yes the firing order is correct and through some trouble shooting I realized that the center pin on my coil pack dose not blink it stays on constantly???

Yea that was my next thing to do is swap the 96 sensors on the 99 motor and then if that dosnt work I was going to swap the whole 99 harness into the 96. But I'm not looking for anything crazy I'm just trying to make this car a nice looking dail driver

But then I would have to f*** with all the wiring and I'm not down for that right now

Ok so update. I found out I had bad gas in my tank. So I emptied the gas from the tank and added some 93. Now the car at least will fire up but I still have to hold my foot on the gas pedal just a touch to get it to start up and if I leave my foot off the gas pedal it runs but I idels really low and like its missing and then it will rev up and then idel low again. I also noticed that I threw a code finally so I hooked my computer up to it and it said high voltage detected at my engine coolant sensor. And since I changed the plug end to fit the newer style sensor I though maybe I didn't get a good connection. Wasn't the case, but when I checked the voltage at the plug end it read 10v DC. I read somewhere that it's only suppose to be 5v DC is that correct?

So I just went out and bought a new temp sensor and that fixed my start issue but not my idle issue car still just wants to idle low and dye on me and it seems like its miss firing but when I rev the engine up it seems as if it goes away and the car runs normal
