Was looking forward to the all-out 4G63 build.. but I'll stay tuned regardless. What's your power goal?

New BorgWarner S300SXE's are in, nothing but amazing turbochargers.

That air/oil separator in the pump? The whole design is just amazing. It's a fancy centrifugal blower..........for oil! Love it. Bet it costs north of 4 grand for that dry setup. I know nothing of dry sumps but this seems like it'd do the job AND look damn good while doing it.

I guess coming here to see what the title says and seeing what you do would indeed result in disappointment...as you are not seeing what expected. Pretty simple stuff I think. More power to whomever has the money to start the project like they did and still be able to afford to change the goal mid-project.

Curious to see the outcome on this. I can't imagine this will be an easy conversion that the average member can pull off, but please do document everything John. A blueprint would be nice to have for others who might want to attempt it in the future.

You see a lot of swap kits available for other cars, like the RX7, 240sx, E36 BMW, Miata, etc. Maybe this build could help pave the way for a DSM swap kit - as blasphemous as that sounds, it could help keep the platform going for a while longer with as difficult as it is becoming to source 4G63 parts. Hell, imagine if you could pick up a 420A DSM to use as the starting point - more of them available and cheaper to come by.

We have started on some of the major cutting to get the engine and transmission to fit. Here is where the engine and trans will be at for its final resting spot. We have some fabrication ahead of us to get the transmission mounted as well as the engine.

Everyones is crying about this swap when this car will be worth more than any dsm out on the street today. Amazing work, looking forward to updates!

John, are you doing a mintub rear with a fab 9"? That output height looks like you are gonna be putting that rear diff up quite a bit from "OE" location.

I don't see how this is ANYTHING like swapping a 4g into a 420a car.

Seriously people, if you don't like it then shut up and leave. It's his car and it's actually being done right, with high end parts. A far cry from what you typically see around here.
