Been a lurker for a while figured I should make an account finally. Currently have a 97 eclipse gs spyder. Timing belt broke about a week ago, so now I have a reason on doing the dohc swap ive wanted to do. Instead of doing the 4g63t swap I found a super cheap dohc 4g64 engine I will be doing it with instead. I have no idea what I'm doing so I'll start a post on when I start so anyone can follow the build and give me advice as needed. I plan on boosting after the swap is done as well. Looking foward to meeting other dsm in the future.

Thank you guys, I've been looking around and found a 4g63 head for sale chrap as well. So build might change. Haven't decided yet.

Welcome i just did the same thing finaly started posting, im sure you already know but be sure that you have the right 4g64 there is a narrow and wide block only one will work in the car!

We have a wrecked 4g63 97 Spyder. Ran super good with a 16g, injectors and link. You would absolutely love your car with that setup! Just chimin' in is all.

If I could a 4g63 for a decent price I would love to throw that in my car. Belive me I would rather do a swap and have it be that simple. But I have no luck finding one that is at all a resonable price where I am.

I found TWO cars in Fort Riley months apart. One needed a head gasket for $500 and the other is the one on my profile, got it for 1200 running but needed LOTS of re-repairs.
