Aye. I had my Rs for years. During other projects. But I'm getting into it cause my brother got a monster 94 GSX.
So as I said on my profile. I blew my motor a week ago. The blown motor is all forged. I'll start rebuilding the current motor so Ik it can support anything thrown at it. I just want to turbo it. But I don't know what I'll need. My family owns a auto repair shop. So I got the tools, gear, money, and the labor. I'm trying to build a turbo 420a to be different from my brothers 4g63t. I just want to get the eclipse into a daily driven boosted car. I wana keep up to his GSX while it's on low boost. -list of turbo parts to make it drivable. Not powerful.

Well, as much as I wouldn't agree to do this with that engine, it's yours and your choice. That being said, the parts list is relatively small. You will need (of course) the turbo, a new intake setup, a new exhaust setup for the down pipe, a new exhaust manifold that'll bolt from the turbo to the cylinder head, blow off valve, intercooler kit, oil feed and drain lines, coolant feed and drain lines, and I would recommend bigger injectors to support more power. Maybe an oil catch can as well to catch any oil blow-by. Good luck.

I would recommend you research this topic in the 420a forum. If you decide that selling your car and buying a turbo car is not for you, then follow what they have done. The above list is the majority of what you need with the exception of a way to tune the new setup.

420a, srt, or edz ONLY group on fb, the admin James Cobo makes basic kits. Don't try and turbo it without the knowledge or youll be sitting on a blown motor. Buy his kit or use it as a guide to piece together parts. Stock injectors are fine up to 8psi. If you're wanting a way a to actually tune you'll need to run megasquirt, stock ecu is untuneable. Megasquirt will cause you to fail emissions if you have that.
"my $1500 turbo kits include but are not limited to.....
t3 .50 turbocharger
cast iron log manifold
38mm wastegate set at 8psi
stainless steel braided oil feed line
feed and drain adapters for the turbo
custom made downpipe designed to bolt to stock cat or test pipe and has 2 o2 sensor ports in case you want a wideband.
tapped oil pan with 5/8 id drain line
2.5" boost pipe kit with couplers and clamps
rfl blow off valve (loud psshhhhhh)
blow off valve adapter pipe
45 degree 2"-2.5" coupler to adapt turbo to charge pipe and keep stock fans
31x11x3 intercooler
255lph fuel pump
12:1 fuel management unit calibrated for best performance on a stock 420a
52mm boost gauge and oil pressure, afr, or volt gauge
2 gauge pod
all needed mounting hardware and vacuum lines etc.
kit passes emissions in most states and allows you to keep ac and power steering.
comes with many instructional videos, photos, and some documentation to make installation simple.
kit makes 220whp on the average 5 speed stock 420a car (95whp increase) at 8psi.
kit requires the use of premium 91 octane or higher fuel
also requires the use of 10w40 or higher full synthetic oil.
an e85 kit is also available for an additional 400 dollars and will include 550cc injectors and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. this is a 14psi kit also suitable for stock 420a powered vehicles but cannot promise how long your stock clutch will last. this kit makes around 270whp and is for e85 only. not a flex fuel setup."

How is your motor "blown" ? and what do you mean by forged? was the motor already built? rods, pistons etc..
We live in Alaska, finding Mitsubishi parts is tough. My brother is specialized on eclipses. He's the one that spent a year and a half to build the 420a. Basically he spent all that time building my car. So yes he's done pistons, rods, clutch, transmission, etc. the car isn't stocked besides the exhaust. The motor blew cause I had to much rpm racing a BRZ and I forgot the other car that was keeping up.

I have a 420A and the key for me was a portfueler without it your are just wasting a turbo, as a side note I can't recommend doing what i did unless you really want a 420a just for fun because I have over 12k into the motor alone but I did it for fun

too much rpm?? you put it in the wrong gear while racing? LOL
Doesn't hurt try push its limits but aye. Having fun has it's cost. We all know that I'll start a journal on my process of rebuilding and adding a turbo when I get an open lift at my family shop.
