Ok guys I have a weird one for ya. So I go to the junk yard the other day and find a 95 eclipse with a 95 EPROM unit in it. Obviously I nab that sucker but this is what's really confusing. It came out of a non turbo eclipse… honestly I can't remember if the motor was a 420a engine or n/a 4g63 but I'm pretty sure it was a 420a. I know the 420a Ecus are in the engine bay but I found this ecu right where we would find all of ours.
Basically my question is what am I looking at? Someone trying to hide an ecu in a 420a eclipse to buy it later from the junkyard? Or is this a non turbo EPROM ecu? Here's some pics
