So I plan on buying the blitz body kit for my 1996 eclipse. This body kit will only fit 97-99 model eclipses, what can I do to make it fit on my 96 model? Do I need to change the headlights and rear lights? And what about the side skirts? If there is no way around it does anyone know nice looking 1996 eclipse body kits?

I agree with the guy above me... But to answer your question... The front bumper change is just the headlights. The rear bumper is just the reverse lights. Besides that all mounting points are the same.

The talon to eclipse/ eclipse to talon versions are more involved.

Eclipse 2ga to 2gb are easy bolt on affairs.

I don't really know why you are even getting a body kit for it. These cars look just amazing the way they come from factory. The only visual mods I would do to a 96 if any at all convert to the 97-99 bumper and skirts.
I was just looking at pics and yeah I agree a lot. I'm gonna change the lights and just get the front bumper and change rear lights and get 97 bumper. And what side skirts are the 97?

Yeah I agree too, I just looking at pics and I'm probably just gonna do that. I'm not gonna get a body kit but probably the 97-99 skirts and bumpers.

if you are going to switch over to a 97-99 style body all you need are the 2gb headlights tail lights are the same. and then the reverse lights if you don't find them with the bumper. as for the side skirts there are a couple options for you. some people just run the actual skirt piece under the door, or you can get the door cap or shirt also. If you do get the door piece also this is where it gets a little tricky. You can either go the more costly route and find a set of doors with them. Or you can attempt to find just the skirts but in order to attach them you will have to drill the holes into the door as well as when you get the actual skirt piece. Its just harder to get the holes lined up to drill on the door. But its all doable for sure man.

Yeah if you can find them in a junk yard around you, or online. You can also check the classified ads on here and see if anyone is parting out a car or selling some and will ship them to you. Just got to look everywhere pretty much. Craigslist also. Just make sure when you buy some you make sure all the mounts are not broken off or else they will just flop around on the car and I guess double stick tape would become your best friend.

You helped me out. I'm gonna get 2gb front bumper, headlights, high rise wing. Not sure what I should do on skirts yet
