Does anyone recommend a good brand of car cover? My 2g has been garaged since I got it 4 years ago but I have to move it out to the street now :( so I want to make sure it has a quality cover.

Ive had one of those autozone/parts store universal covers for a few years now. It works for what it is but can't say id recommend it for protecting much. Keeps the sun/snow directly off the car :idontknow:

A tarpaulin and a bed sheet will do fine, just place the tarp over the bed sheet so it doesn't scratch it. Just get something that is water proof so you can crack the windows a bit to allow heat out so the interior doesn't get ruined.

I appreciate the tarp suggestions, but I can't really park it on the suburban neighborhood street with a tarp and/or bed sheet on it :).

The house I live in has no garage so a car cover was an absolute must for me, I had no problem paying money for a quality cover because it just made perfect sense for me. I went with the custom fit Covercraft NOAH, cost around $270. It fits like a glove, tailored to the body lines of the car, has pockets for the mirrors so the sides of the cover lay flat against the side of the car, it's got elastic around the bottom so it's just an overall nice snug fit. The material is sturdy, blocks out everything, and won't scratch your paint. Easy to put on and take off, less than 3 minutes. Sorry if I sound like a salesman, but I just really like this cover. It's the first one I've owned, and if any of my others cars ever needs one, I won't look any further.

Thanks joecruz03, that sounds like exactly what I am looking for.

I also have the Noah cover for 5 years now and it still looks good. It keeps my car dry during heavy rains.

I bought one for my car from empire covers, its weather proof and is lined with micro fiber on the inside so it doesn't scratch paint and has clips attached so it doesn't fly off. has worked nicely for me!

Cool, thanks for the info. I will check out Empire Covers as well.
