It's come to my attention that a young DSMer could really use some help, and since this isn't the first time we've seen something like this happen in our community I figured I'd personally post a thread and see if we can round up some support for this kid. His name is Cody Fasano (@codyfasano), he's 22 years old, and he's been diagnosed with T cell acute lymphocytic leukemia. Here's the info that was sent to me about him from a friend of his named Brad (@untouchablecc):
Feel free to send Brad a PM if you'd like to get involved and help out. Parts donations can be shipped to Brad and you can send Paypal donations directly to Cody - his email address for Paypal is [email protected].
And please do share this with your friends here and on Facebook. I hate cancer. And any chance I get to help someone fight it, I do what I can.
Brad mentioned he'd like to help get Cody's 1g finished up for him to help him achieve his goals of hitting an 11.99 or better this summer. Brad is looking to raise money for the machine work, a set of Wiseco HD pistons, gaskets, and some odds and ends.Basically a good friend of a bunch of fellow DSMers and a member on here has come down with T cell acute lymphocytic leukemia. We just found out on Thursday when he was admitted to University of Pittsburg Medical center on Thursday 4/11/15. We had been currently working on his 1g DSM every weekend we both had off and my mk3 Supra. His name is Cody Fasano 22yrs old, he is a mechanic at Megan Ford in Mt. Pleasant PA, he has a girlfriend, family ect. He has undergone a bone marrow transplant as of yesterday and are dosing him so heavily with chemotherapy they use the term "blast out"....
His outlook is really good as of right now. With him having T-cell ALL, as of right now he has no cancer in his brain and after chemo threatments his spine is clear. So it is regressing. I spoke with the Dr. at UPMC. He said his live, lymph glands, spleen, pancreas ect all were unremarkable or cancer free. He should be out of the hospital by May 2nd or 3rd. He will be off work for the next year and receiving outpatient chemotherapy until his is in full remission. He did have a reaction to the first type of chemo causing him some pancreatits but that has since passed. They switched his therapy out for another type of chemo.
Feel free to send Brad a PM if you'd like to get involved and help out. Parts donations can be shipped to Brad and you can send Paypal donations directly to Cody - his email address for Paypal is [email protected].
