I am running the stock T25 and I am trying to find out what would be better to do first, exhaust or FMIC. I have the money to do one right now. Ideas on what u think or feel is better to do first.

If exhaust should I go with no cat

I have a intercooler with 3 inch in and out, should I reduce that to 2.25 or 2.5. Or try and run 3inch

Exhaust for sure. With the T25 you aren't heat soaking the side mount just yet.

Florida doesn't care about emissions right?

Exhaust. You're likely not heatsoaking with stock-ish boost levels even in Florida heat, and a fmic with big pipes will kill your spool. Exhaust will help a lot more at this level.
If you look to upgrade turbo later, do fmic first if you're stuck in the same "only one" situation. That way, you won't soak what you have now.

You wont need an fmic until you start upping the boost and making a lot more heat. You wont be able to up the boost "enough" until you have a tuner, boost gauge, and wideband.

Plus after you get those 3 things it will be time to upgrade the turbo and it really is easier on the 2g's to do the 16g swap and fmic at the same time.

Replacing the exhaust from the downpipe back a tune isn't necessary, The maf and 02 sensor is above that. All replacing the exhaust is doing is allowing to car to flow already registered air out faster.

Sorry I think you misunderstood what I meant, I agree, he does not need a tune if he bolted on a catback/turbo back exhaust, but he would benefit more from adding a Tuning Solution, ECMlink, EVO scan, even SAFC with datalogging, than a catback/turbo back or FMIC. He could potential see how his car is running, and any problems that might occur. I know ECMlink was my first mod on my stock 91 talon, and many would agree it is the most beneficial and overall worth while mod.

This topic also has been beaten to death here on the forum, he should follow the mod guide we have here on DSMtuners.

I see what you are saying now, and I can agree with getting ECMlink from the start even for logging purposely only.

I would def get a tuner but that is a bit more down the road. Right now I have a boost gauge with the t25 a boost controller that I have not installed yet. I want to do the exhaust (seems like the best to do from all of u). Install the mbc and crank it all the way up to...15psi. And enjoy that for now till I can afford more. Baby steps ya know. I just don't want to take baby steps down the stairs, LOL

If you have the money now I also think you should opt for Ecmlink, ect. Then when the time Comes when you want to boost more or add fuel, you will already have it so thats about $600 you dont need to part with at that time when you want to buy a new turbo or injectors or anything really.

V3 on ECMLink

The V3 ECM link is the newest version. Very user friendly and easy to set up. People post them in the classifieds all the time. I ran a V3 for a few years now and have no complaints. If you are interested, I am selling my 2g V3 exam link. PM me if interested.
