Well, don't know where to post this. So i apologize in advance.
My question here is: does anyone know if Magnus will have a v3 1g cast intake manifold group buy or a sale of sort? I tried contacting them but i have not gotten an answer.
I guess it would depend on how many people would be interested in a group buy. How can we get magnus to do a v3 intake manifold group buy?

Thanks.

Jesus, just pay the man. Just a seat at the cfd software used to design the thing is 5 times the cost of a manifold. Then think of that salary of the guy who runs the software. (100k+), then the patternmaker, and finally the foundry that casts it.

At $1000 he's definatly not getting rich on them, considering the volume that he might sell, he might not even make any money on them.

To change that to fit a 1g or to fit any head programming wise would take an hour tops. Most places use CAM software. all that needs to be done is simple changes to the locational diminutions. After that its hit the write to code button Proof and run parts.

Ummmm. If you all want to think so.. That mani still has machine time on it. it has to be machined so it will seal up to the gasket as well as drill the holes to size so it cam be mounted. casting don't come out perfect. Have you all seen how the casting lines and mold marks and slag let in the head on your car? They look like crap. As for changing the code to go from a 1g to a 2g or make it mate to a small block chevy its simple..

No no it's not. The runner size isn't even close! Have you ever worked in a foundry or around a Cnc machine? I was pouring aluminum castings when you were just a twinkle in your daddy's eye. How many Cnc machines do you have in your shop? When's the last time you made an intake manifold for anything?

Getting a group buy together shouldn't be hard. A gut on the ECM Link forums just did one for the new 2G cast intakes being released. He needed 10 people to send in a deposit to show the demand and Marco agreed. I do not remember the particulars, but thats it in a nutshell.

You're going to need atleast a guaranteed 20 people to put in a deposit before you`ll get a bulk discount as we just went through the same situation.

I hear ya. A lot of these new DSMers are unbelievably cheap. The group buy we just had on the link forums was only 10 people and it was still the same msrp, granted ours are custom for the 2g head.

Well if yall are able to do a group buy I'll be down I rather pay for quality That's how I always Ben. Also plz lmk If yall do another group buy for link I'll also be interested. In that to

would u spend 1000 ? If u was givin the opertunity To get 50$ off ? I'll understand if we had no choice. But to pay 1000$ but if he took off 50$. Would you really be like naaaa 50$? f*** that jus give it to me for 1000$ ? Jus askin not tryin to be a dick I'm Kool pepole. Lol
