iloveboost, what is the offset on your rims? The rears look like they have a deeper lip to them or is it just the angle of the picture. Since you're FWD you can run a staggered setup, I'm just curious if that's what you did.

The wheels are both the same size and offset. 18x8 with a +40 offset. They do have different lip sizes though (does not affect offset). I think front is 60mm lip and rear is 90mm. It is designed to make the wheels look deeper without actually changing offset. I personally really like that style, so it works for me. The only drawback is that having two different lips you cant really rotate the tires without making it look funny. If I had ordered them brand new I probably would have gotten the 90mm for all 4.

Does anyone know the maximum size for 18" wheels + tires and offset I can run to have an agressive look while keeping the wheels inside the fenders, and without messing with the speedometer?
I also plan to put caliper cover (I dont have the money right now to change brakes themselves) as well.

Sorry I found everything I needed within this thread ;)

Those are Enkei RPF1s probably 17x8.5 and like a 35 offset with 245/40 tires.

If you had AWD and had staggered wheels, let's say fronts 245/45/17 and the rears were 255/40/17 aren't they turning in different ratios? Doesn't that mess up the diffs?

For the sake of keeping this thread on topic, say you want to run a staggered wheel setup and on the fronts you'll run the recommended 255/45/17 tire on a 9" wheel and the rears a 285/40/17 tire on a 10.5" wheel. Using Continental ExtremeContact DW tires as an example...

A 255/45/17 ExtremeContact DW has an overall (no load) diameter of 26" and 802 revs per mile (RPM).
A 285/40/17 ExtremeContact DW has an overall (no load) diameter of 26" and 799 revs per mile.

Same rolling diameter and the revolutions per mile are close, which doesn't really matter since they can be changed by running over/under inflated tire pressures, warn out tire treads, etc. on tires that are the same size and brand anyway.

I have a similar question...
I love the look of rims/tire of dskagr eclipse:

I tried to contact him about rims size, but he did not log in for a long time now...

Can anyone help me with that?

I know he is running 225X40X18 tires, but I dont know rims size.
I checked the maker site, and for 18" model there is only 8.75 or 9.75J and +20 or +35 offset.
Which of both is it ?
BTW rims are XXR 527 model.

They are xxr 527 18x9.75 +20, be he's running spacers in the rear (+20-25mm maybe).

If you put a tire on the wheel that actually fit properly they would be too wide for the car at that ride height. Why would you want to run a wheel that's nearly 10 inches wide and then wrap it with a tire that's under 9 inches wide? Just buy an 8 inch wide wheel in the first place and avoid looking hellaflush. Win win IMO.

Thanks you for the info !
Ok, i will have to think well about that...
I kinda love the rims a lot wider than the tires, but as you said there is a big difference here...
If I decide to run 18x9.75 +20 will it fit or am I going to have a nightmares everytime I want to take a sharp cormer?
One more stupid question, will the +20 offset have any inconvenient aspect if I choose x8.75 rims?

Thank you again!

^^^^ This is a good question and I'd like to know too. Just found a set of xxr 530's that I've been wanting. Only downside is they're 18's and I'd rather have 17's. But the price is good plus decent tires. They're 18x9.75 +20mm with 245/40/18 tires.

I'm not lowered yet. So is that based on the wheel width, or the tire width?
It's the wheel width combined with the low offset. The tire width is ok but that's a pretty tall tire for a DSM at almost 26". If your'e factory height you could maybe get away with it but I would probably go a different route if I were you.

Hey guys. Very first post and very first DSM. Does anyone know the specs on this setup

The owner of that 2g is Miguel @99 OZ Edition so contacting him directly would be your best bet.

That being said, I'm not sure how active he is on here but if it helps, my guess knowing that they are Rays Gram Lights 57DR wheels and Federal RS-R 595 tires piecing in with this photo (notice the section width and aspect ratio on the treads) would be a 255/35/18 tire (since that's the only 255/35 option in a RS-R 595) so it's easy to deduce that it's 18x9.5 +38 wheel looking at 57DR sizes too. The fronts poke out a bit more than the rears probably because he's running spacers to clear the Evo Brembo calipers and I'd guess he's had some fender (roll/pull) work done to keep the tires from rubbing.
