After changing my cam angle sensor will my car need to be re timed?

Do I have to have a top timing cover to do this?
Nvm read that wrong.

Timing light, jumper wire to ground the set timing connector, wrench for the CAS bolts. :)

You may need to adjust the basic idle speed before and after synchronising the CAS. The engine needs to be running below 1000 rpm to set the CAS and should be at 750 before and after for best results.

Somebody was trying to charge me $150 to do said I needed a special timing belt tool just wanted to double check.

Keep in mind that the ignition timing is different then the mechanical timing. You do need a special tool for that job.

Mechanical timing refers to your timing belt since it keeps both of your camshafts in sync with your crankshaft. Changing your cas will only throw off your ignition timing.

And for the ignition timing all I need is a timing light? Sorry trying to get all my ducks in a row.

if you have dsm/ecmlink you can use that to "ground" the connector as well.
Theres justt barely enough room to shoot the light from the top. Down to In between the timing covers and the body. It's the lower cover marks near the crank pulley.

if your gun is adjustable. set to 5 degrees and you want it to line up on 0.
Otherwise, if the gun isn't adjustable and its always at 0, you want 5 degrees on the cover.
