Looking up pistons and rods and all I seem to find is 7 bolt parts. Does 7 bolt 64 parts fit the 6 bolt engine or do yall know who sells the 6 bolt parts?

If I dont do a long rod will the options get better?

Loads better, because then you can use any 6 bolt 4G63 aftermarket rod. They're the same length between 64 and 63's. Not going long-rod just buy yourself a nice set of 4G63 forged aftermarket rods of your choice, and the proper sized pistons you prefer, and there you are. Done. Be sure to invest in the kiggly main girdle, and ARP main studs(with a line hone) if you plan to rev over 8500rpm.

Any machine shop can re bush the rods for 2g 22mm pins.

Also, try contacting a manufacturer. Custom pieces aren't much more expensive than quality shelf stock items.

^This. When I was shopping around I called quite a few different manufacturers and there is typically a "processing fee" of sorts for having custom rods or pistons and then a bit longer of a wait time. Overall though it wasn't really a big deal price wise.

Thought you couldnt use 7 bolt parts in the 6 bolt

Mail Call, 450 bux later. Seller stated used for 300 miles then parted out the car. There going to the machine shop for a spec sheet, if they dont come out to what the seller stated then we will go from there. Took a cap off and it fits the 6-bolt crank like its suppose to. Caps are labeled Evo 1 - 6.141. Still going to drop them off at the M-shop.

Had the Pauter Rods checked out by Ballo's Machine Shop, yea same shop the Jafromobile uses.

Pin Diameter .828
Big End 1.889
Length 6.141
Rod 1 Weight - 645.7
Rod 2 Weight - 644.6
Rod 3 Weight - 645.3
Rod 4 Weight - 645.7

1.130 or 1.134
Whats the difference? Im building a 2.4 long rod with 156mm Pauters on a 1g 6 bolt head. Vendor said he could get Carillo Pistons for cheap and supplied the part number SC7262. Specs shows its 1.134, I thought the 2.4 long rod was suppose to get 1.130. Reason why I want CP is that they have the oil ring supported all the way around where Wisecos dont actually have a support at the top of the pin. Any thoughts?

I think I was talking to you on Facebook yesterday. You didn't mention you were building a 6 bolt. I was under the impression you had a 7 bolt and were using a 6 bolt head. I can still offer you the same pricing I quoted yesterday.
