Guys: I've been out of DSM's for about 13 years or so. I'd like to track down my first one and found after running a title report that it has moved to Colorado (from Ok/Ar).

It was a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI, AWD, 5 speed, two tone black with silver bottom & grey cloth interior, no sunroof. I had removed the "fade" decal from around the bottom of the car.

Last 5 of the vin are 35677. I traded it in on a new Mazda in 2000 and have regretted it ever since. I recognize that this is a real long shot, but thought I'd try. Any help would be much appreciated.

The good news is I have the car. And we are the ones who brought it from Oklahoma. The bad news is unless you want a race car this may not be what you are looking for. It has been raced as a low budget, max effort 14b car for almost ten years. It was stripped a lot and this fall we went even deeper trying to find another 250lbs out of an already very light car. You can call me at 720-483-9375 and I can give you the details. It is currently sitting in front of my house. And was running 4-6 weeks ago before I removed the wiring harness, stock fuel tank and lines in anticipation for the 2015 race season.

Crazy. Thanks much for taking the time to respond. Mind if I give you a shout after Christmas? Family is in from out of state.

My wife was laughing at me about taking a shot at finding it... When I told her that someone said that they had it she was a blown away as me. :)

Either of you guys have pictures of this thing? I'd like to see the before when Dat240zg had it and an after, as it sits in BigLady's front yard. :)

It's a small community, still surprising to see the car is still in commission after all those years.

Found two pics of it - scanned them in for your enjoyment... :)

That was the day that I traded her in on a Mazda. Leaked oil like crazy, but shifted smoothly and had a brand new transfer case courtesy of the Mitsi dealership. I believe that I had an exhaust system on it with a Flowmaster muffler. Anywho... here she is.

It had a stock exhaust when we got it, cracked oil pan(no longer on there or leaks) had major paint fade when we got it and still does(it has been stored in a garage up until this year when it came to my house. The slip yoke leaked(badly and had to be welded last year) and cost the car a transfer case on the way from Oklahoma. The transmission was garbage and was rebuilt and has been raced heavily for almost ten years.

Those wheels were not on it when it came to us either. I can try for pictures tomorrow in the light.

I feel like im reading a miracle story about family members getting separated at birth or adopted kids trying to find their biological parents LOL This is pretty awesome

^Seeing guys like this looking for their original DSM reinforce the idea that I want to keep mine for years to come...should look nice next to a brand new Focus RS anyways :thumb:

Hell of a thread, everyone here understands very well what this has meant to the OP, even if he does not get the car back.
