ok so I over reved by going to a lower gear a while back and my car died. I had a bad coil. I replaced it with plugs and wires. Got it running pretty good again. Only thing is I have a cel on reading P1105 for bad fps. I got one coming. Could something else throw this code. I also have a slight hesitation when I am accelerating. If just driving steady it runs fine but if I get on it, it hesitates very little and my power levels out at 5 grand. It don't pull like it used to. I guess what I am asking is for a bit of help. What to try and or look for. Would the FPS cause this to happen. I have seen where u could bypass it so I didn't think so. Thanks dsm'rs

If its bad you get a code right sounds like its bad I would replace it and see what happens from there, then let us know if it helps one thing at a time.

replace fps and after if no change start with basics, maf sensor cleaning, replacing fuel filter if old, check fuel lines for cracks, check for faulty or clogged injector, the basics.

Ok I will do that, thanks guys

I just did a compression check on all 4 cylinders and these where my results. I don't know if this is good or bad. Never messed with the compression before. I didn't rev or anything that's just at idle. The engine was warm. Wasn't sure if I should do it warm or cold but these readings are from warm.

Ok got the new fps. Installed and check engine light is gone so far. 3 days of driving.
But I still have the power loss and hesitation on acceleration. What to look for now.

As far as a boost leak. If I did have one would my boost gauge not hold the boost on acceleration or could it still hold. Cause my gauge does hold 12lbs every time.

Ok that is some good stuff right there, thanks.
My vacume is reading below 30. Like the needle just drops all the way down below the lowest reading on the vacume side of the gauge.

Ok got one made up sealed and ready to go. I will post results this weekend. I removed the first spring so now the release button don't work and the pressure can fall on its own. Let's hope it don't fall, LOL

seems like a boost leak from my past experience, not a dsm but on a BMW. Goodluck and hope you find it soon, most annoying thing in the world when your car isn't running to the T and you're unsure on why.

This is what I used. And rubber washers to seal it. Just drilled holes in the pic cap for the gauge and valve stem.
