Currently my trans is leaking oil and it has ruined my ACT 2600 clutch. I don't know exactly where the leak is coming from but it is a big leak indeed. About 5 months ago I did a clutch on my car and installed this brand new ACT 2600 and pulled my motor out. When I pulled my motor out and took my trans out I noticed a puddle of oil sitting in it. To clear to be engine oil. Smelled like tranny oil too. So where is this leak coming from? The only place I can think of is the input shaft seal. What else needs to be sealed in there? Anyone got a part number? is there anywhere else it can be leaking from? Should i just replace the output shaft seal as well? I know to do the input shaft the whole tranny needs to be taken apart, but what about the output shaft? If there are any more seals that will need to be replaced please let me know. Thank you!

There are only two seals between the bellhousing and engine block. The rear main seal around the crank and the input shaft seal for the transaxle if you are fwd. The input shaft seal I believe needs replaced from the inside of the transaxle. This requires full dissambly of the transaxle to get to the seal. The rear main seal can be replaced by taking off the oil pan to remove the housing for the rear main seal. If you suspect the transaxle, I would still change the rear main seal as well.

There is not an output shaft for a fwd transaxle. An output shaft would be used for an AWD where a shaft goes into the transfer case.
