Hi guys,

Ok since my EU model 2g Gs wich I am currently daily driving is going to be a gift for my girlfriend I need another one. I'm looking for a mint condition 2g gst spyder. Here in europe there are few imported ones for sale and I have checked out a few but they were very dissapointing to me. Rusted, missing parts or fitting with to many cheap aftermarket parts( you all know what I mean)

So my idea was to ask a company here in the Netherlands to import a spyder for me. I will find one for them so they only have to import it if you know what i mean. It should be afforable because 2g spyders are going sky high around here!

Maybe you guys can help me out, maybe check out a car that we found for sale? For example I found this one, maybe someone can tell me the real condition of this car and tell me if the price is right?

I would like to have a green gst with low mileage(if possible under 100k) with as minimum modifications as possible. Interior colour doesn't really matter but I've always liked the tan ones.

I am not really experienced with searching for a car in your country so maybe you guys can help me search too?
I know stock 2g are getting rare but there must be some nice ones out there right?

Let me know if you are willing to help or maybe just give me advice on what or where to look for.

Thank you guys!

Greetings from a fellow Dsm'er in the Netherlands

That greenie has been on CL for a long time. And for the price if it hasn't been sold yet, there must be something wrong with it....

The sites that I have been using have them for around 5-6k but most of them were auto's. Does that bring the value down because manuals are more desirable right?
What site's can I use to look? I've been searching on ebay, cargurus and craigslist but with cl i have to pick a state?

These cars are not new anymore, and almost any clean example you find is going to need some work.

however west coast examples are typically less likely to have major rust problems.
here are some examples I found on cl, they might not be what your looking for, and some may have the 2.4 sohc motor.

@awesome , that's a little bit to much for me LOL

@mitsubishikid , thanks for looking for me! I understand every car needs some work but I'm a Mitsubishi mechanic so that won't be a problem. The thing is, it's easier if the car is mostly stock and in good condition to pass the import-inspection here.
I don't mind spending some more if this means the car is nicer and less rice LOL.
I went to see a green '96 spyder gst yesterday, the dealer asked more then $10k(converted from euros)! Turns out the car has been in Engeland for around 10 years and is rusted from front to rear. It had 86k miles but still.
