I was questioning if it had been done yet. Not only has it been done but there are H4 converter lamps already.

My question is simple where the heck can I find H4 LED bulbs that are bright? I'd prefer a mild blue so I have increased reflectivity from the color of the lights.

Have any of you other 1g guys tried this? I heard they are better than stock bulbs but not quite as good as HID. I really don't want to blow the kind of cash that HIDs require to be honest.

I think this has been discussed before, and bottom line is that the LED's are really bright up close, but the light is diffused pretty fast so the distance it actually illuminates is about 2 feet. If you don't want to spend a ton on name brand HID kits, do what I did and just go eBay. I've had mine for over a year and a half with no problem and they cost me like $40. But do get the 55w (you can get 35w too but 55w is brighter) Bixenon HID's so you have High and Low beams, I didn't know about that until I put them in and realized that if I flick on my High beams my lights just go out all together...I call it "Stealth Mode" :p bi xenon hid h4 | eBay

Edit: Also, when you do get new bulbs, whether you choose LEDs or eBay HID's, get some Hella Housings: http://www.machv.com/helh4headup8.html , don't get the eBay housings because I have them and honestly they are horrible. My buddy Mike has them on his Laser, and we both have the same Kelvin HID Color, and if you put both our cars next to each other, his looks about ten times better AND brighter. Next purchase I am doing is getting some Hella housings for my baby :D

Edit: Also, check this out: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/appearance-interior-exterior/341864-led-headlight-mod.html and just FYI that post of mine was when I was first getting into the DSM game and no its not a good idea to get anything over 10k in my opinion, as another member is right about anything over 8k will result in a decreased light output over stock lights.

this guy has a lot of interesting opinions on lighting. I did the H4 bulbs in place of the sealed beams in my truck in the Cibie housings. I worked out pretty well so far. May try on the talon after the engine is back in.

All that was said, plus make sure the wiring is right, when you do it. I had an 01 that was done wrong and the wiring and housing melted. I had to cut the whole thing loose and start over.
