Right now I have the blower "centered" and can't direct it to the window or to the lower duct. I can change both air temp and -strenght. This is a major problem where I live since its cold as hell in northern Sweden and I need it to heat up the window :) Anyone know what can cause this or how to access whatever it is that directs the air?

I haven't personally opened up or removed a dsm climate control panel. But I'm assuming the knobs are connected to some type of cable or gear configuration. I would trace that first and look for any binding and or bent cables, worn gears etc...

So you are basically saying that it will only blow out of the dash vents no matter where you have the control at. If that is the case than you either have a cable that is unhooked from the hvac controls to the hvac box, the mechanism in the control itself it broken, or the flap inside the hvac box is broken. I would start by removing the cover on the side of the console and looking at the linkage where the cable connects to. It should be behind the radio. When you turn the knob the linkage should move.

Exactly, the knob turns fine and is in good condition but won't change flow direction. The strange thing is that it feels fine, resistance wise. I will have to remove the cover around the console, how or whats the easiest way doing this?
