i would like to introduce my fully built 6 bolt swapped 97' galant
i have been collecting parts for the better part of 6 years. the car has gone through many cosmetic changes in its life. but now it finally is a complete dsm.
Engine:
arias pistons
manley rods
fully rebuild long block
1g head
hks 272 cams
double spring kit
valves + guides
New intake valves, +1mm exhaust valves
Turbo/exhaust
Full 3" turbo back 2g exhaust
Frank 3 turbo aka 20G with the garret wheel
tial 40mm external wastegate
We start with the tear down
Getting the 4g64 ready to pull
Tranny dropped
exhaust removed and compared to my 2.5" garbage
and its gone!
The old meeting the new
tranny mounted up
after a fresh timing job, she fit like a glove
Just getting ready to finish the wiring
engine bay comparison
next challange was to overcome the tach issue. the 7g galant had a distributor so it won't read the tach signal. so i surgically removed the 2g tack and placed it in my cluster. perfect fit.
after 2 weeks driving it around
The pretty snail after i cleaned up some wiring
As she sits right now
I'm just waiting for my afpr and she will be running on speed density in no time. Special thanks go to my buddy ben who really helped me alot!
