NOT MY CAR......my comp died so I took a pic off here....if owner of this pic objects I will remove it.
But, right next to the lower left valve cover bolt is a banjo bolt horizontal in the head. On my car which is a 2g bottom and 1g head, somebody has a stainless flexible line there which goes to the turbo...is this ok? Reading the thread this came from I think it will be ok? Thanks!

Depends on the turbo cartridge (bb or journal), that turbo manufactorers recommended
Oil requirements and your individual oil pressure readings. But yes, on a 1g head, that is a oem oil feed line.

Its going to a stock T25.

No stock t25 needs more oil pressure and needs to be Feed off the oil filter housing! You risk starving the turbo if left there, since there's much less pressure at that feed port. I would put a plug at the head location and get a new ss line or stock line that feeds from the ofh. Or verify what your pressure is at the turbo and go from there, it's prob not enough though.

I agree, t25 should be feed from oil filter housing.

And I don't disagree with that but from my own research t25 is best feed from ofh

In this particular instance it dosent matter either way as long as the pressure is in spec. But if he really wanted to have the peace of mind he could just get the line to the ofh and the stock sized restrictor.
However if it was me I would chunk the t25 and get a 14b or 16g :D

Touché and Good call on chunking the t25

Its to get the car running. Which may or may not happen as I may trade it.

IDK why its a factory location and its being suggested to run it off the oil filter housing? Wasn't the 14b on a 1G and better than a T25 on a 2G? So do people relocate the feed line from the head on 1gs to the ofh or leave them?

Besides if I keep the car, this is to get it running......I have no intentions of having that turbo for life by any means......

Yes the 14b turbo is better overall than the t25 but the t25 has quicker spool. your question was about the oil feed line for a t25. You'll be fine to feed the t25 from either head or ofh. The main point is 14b is an mhi turbo and t25 is a Garett turbo. I'm pretty sure Both have different oil pressure specs and obviously the stock feed locations are opposite. My suggestion to use the ofh was more for assurance and long term reliability. Since your just trying to get it running and more than likely selling/trading it then just leave it alone

T25 stock feed line has a restrictor inline
I was going to mention that. It's true the T25 is fed from the OFH but there's a built-in restrictor right at the fitting in the OFH port, so it's not really correct to say: fed from head = low pressure, fed from OFH = high pressure.

Restrictor or not it's a fact the pressure at the ofh is high than at the head location, which will make and difference. If it was no big deal why would Mitsu bother switching for the t25 in the first place? Unless you have a gauge on it and can verify pressure is within spec at idle and wot. Then you can't just say it will be ok to run!

Its a ss line, not the oem feed line. So no restrictor. ???

My bad man, I didn't post a pic of my setup so I wasn't sure if everyone got that LOL.
