The issue I'm having is that I am not getting an cranking RPM in Tunerstudio. I have ran a composite log and I can see that the MS3x unit is seeing the signal but during a data log it never goes into cranking. I will then get a blip of RPMs after I let off the starter for a brief second then it goes back down. Has anyone run into this where you can see the crank trigger in the log but not getting rpm in tunerstudio?

Attached is a data log...

Any insight to why I am seeing the signal in the composite log but not during a datalog.

It could have to do with the polarity of the signal. If you're using the VR input, change it to VrOut or VrOutInv; the opposite of whatever you're currently using. The red blips on the bottom indicate the unit isn't syncing, but it certainly is getting the signals.

I'm pretty sure that the crank is not going through the VR but the cam is. I bought the unit from DIYautotune several years ago and then sent it to Symtech to build it. I have contacted them to get a build sheet because I've misplaced the sheet and need another. I can post some board pictures if it helps. Are you talking about a setting in config files or actually rewiring something internally?

I was talking about a physical setting, but I forgot about the corresponding software setting. Try changing the crank trigger capture setting from falling edge to rising edge, or vise-versa.

If I set it from rising I get an "on off" type of RPM signal and some sync error 24(420a CAM phase wrong), If I set it to falling then the sync error goes away. I can post a log of it if you would like.[DOUBLEPOST=1409713715][/DOUBLEPOST]Here is "falling edge" if I remember correctly...

This is a long file but if you quickly scroll you can see where the RPM just jumps up and down really fast and does not signify cranking, but its is during cranking...

How do you have this wired? Is the crank going into the main board and the cam going into the MS3x? or are both signals going into the MS3x? Doesn't make sense to me in your first post.

Here is a pic of my ignition settings in TS.

There is a way to flip the cam signal if you need to. I got a very early version of this firmware from James 2 days ago. Not sure if its the quite the same issue but I could run my car off just the crank signal but as soon as I tried COP mode my cam signal being inverted prevented the car from starting.

I can try to start using only crank and used wasted COP but I'm running g rather large injectors and don't know how it would do in batch fire. Yes, the crank signal is on the MS3 board (3.0 iirc) and the cam is using thE MS3X board input. I've been struggling with this for a while now and looking to try anything.

And I'm still not getting a steady rpm in crank, I will post a log when I get off work today and show you what it's doing. From what I have been told if I'm no seeing an rpm in TS then it will not start because it's not in sync.
