ATTENTION people attending THE SHOOTOUT. Below is an outline of how parking is going to work this year. There will be someone there separating the cars. IF you don't want to park far away from the pits/staging area and you are a spectator you have to drive a Mitsubishi or GTR to the track, ALL other cars will be parked near the entry gate, keep that in mind. Below is how the FOUR parking areas are going to work:

PARKING!!! There will be FOUR parking areas at the track.
1. The Vendor/Sponsor area will be closest to the front and in the space behind the Customer Service area as it has been for years.

2. The area to the north/east and west of there will be for RACERS.

3. The area to the north of the racer area will be for any Mitsubishi's that were driven there to spectate.

4. CLOSEST to the entry of the track, where you buy your tickets will be for ANY car/spectator that is not a Mitsubishi/GTR.

Guarantee this is going to be the largest event to date and should be the fastest cars we've ever seen.

Your tow vehicle and trailer will be allowed in YOUR pit space if you buy a tech card for your race car.

does a downward firing 20g count as Stock appearing turbo? or the SA class?

Car must retain stock appearing intake manifold. Stock appearing turbo, Forced Performance Greens, Reds, Blacks are considered stock appearing for all cars legal for the class. Sheet metal 02 housings with recirculating or open dumps OK, must dump under the car. No external waste gates."

Does it fall under that?

yes thanks!

Im working my ass off to get the car ready, right now its killing me to have to wait for other people to ship my stuff back. I've pulled another 100 plus lbs out the DQ and I'm working on being the lightest Ive ever been in years. I just tipped the scales at 178lbs, for what I was like last year, I weighed 247lbs. Im bringing a shit load of back up parts and expect to put down some serious time slips.

Holy crap man, that's some serious weight loss. Nice work. oh the car too.
Good luck.

So the QUICK STREET 32, My exhaust comes out from the side of the front bumper still goes underneath the car before it comes out the side. Is this going to be alright, I would really like to run in this class as I think I would be a top contender. My peers in this class still get the final decision correct?

Page one, rules for the class state:

-Exhaust must exit UNDER the car.

I can't make the rule any clearer than that. If it exits the side of the car it is ILLEGAL.

Well I guess I was hoping you were referring to the people who have exhuasts, exiting through the hood and such. You could essentially run an even shorter exhaust that exits underneath the car. How about we modify this rule. I have seen many other modification to the rules. If your not requiring the exhaust to come out the back of the car, or a muffler it should be able to come out wherever..

How about we don't modify it? How about we leave that side exit stuff for Quick 16 so we have a division of a "street" car and a "race" car. I hope with a side exit exhaust the car is running in the 8.50 or below range anyway and if so it should be in Quick 16, not Street.

The dot. tire is what divides the "street" cars from the "Race" cars 3' of exhaust is 3' of exhaust wheter it comes out underneath out the top or on the side. Just dont want to hack my setup for 1 event..

AWESOMENESS!!! Adding something back to the event for this year. We've done this before many years ago. We will have TECH SEMINARS going on during Saturday!

The seminars will be held in the Media Center at the race track. The media center is the brown brick building with the tinted glass that is on the left side of the track just about even with the burn out box. Below is the list of sponsors/vendors that will be giving seminars. Pass the word and please attend!

10am-COBB TUNING, Timothy Bailey will be answering any and all product questions for all platforms they support. He will also being going over new releases. This is a great opportunity to get tech questions answered and learn about what they offer!

11am-DSPORT Magazine, Mike Michael Ferrara will be discussing a variety of topics from engine development to what sponsors are looking for in a racer.

12 PM - Robert from Forced Performance will have a turbo seminar.

1 PM-Kevin Kwiatkowski from Kiggly Racing.

Well....hacking a set up is a matter of opinion, so I say it was hacked when you put a hole in the body for an exhaust that could have been run out the bottom. Rules stands the way it is.

Does the, my other car is a DSM sticker on the back of my Cruze allow me in the DSM parking area? Haha. Seriously though, thanks for all of the hard work to put this event on! I'm looking forward to my third great shootout.

BTW, after speaking with the track there is no way to separate the parking into four sections like I had originally hoped. There will be a vendor/sponsor area, a racer area and then just general parking. So you guys know.

Just out of curiosity.. it says max effort/autocross at 9am yet the drivers meeting/course walk for autocross is at 10am? Can anyone clarify this?
