That is no longer a car, it's a piece of artwork that just so happens to be silly fast! OMG Where most cars tend to appear better in pictures, this car is the exact opposite. Pictures don't do justice... :| This piece of art has to be viewed in person to be truly appreciated. My goodness, it really doesn't get any better than that for me. :D

Yes, guess you really perfected the art of building dsm's with all the 1g's you've done. I'm curious what ever happened with the trans, what was the dreaded noise? I love it 8.90 as a modest goal, faster than I'll probably ever go, so awesome.

The 1g noise last year was the flex plates bolts at the crank being loose. The 8.90 isn't that modest to be honest, the car only has an HTA86 turbo on it, it's really a mild build that could be run on the street and enjoyed.

Nice, at least it was simple and there was no damage. And modest for you is alot different than for me, but then again your a legend of the community. 8.90 is fast, especially on 68hta. I was curious do you think a 1g could benefit from a forward facing turbo and half width radiator like your evo?

Well thank you.

Yes, it would benefit from both of those.

Good to know, I'm in the process of rebuilding me 1g and trying to figure out what is best/ what works on this platform. No one better to ask, and thanks for responding to my post I appreciate it. Again, amazing job on the build!

The 1g is officially ready for the track! What a farking PITA. haha Stupidity at it's best on my end I suppose, had issues since last October and FINALLY figured out how stupid it was yesterday. Drove the car down the back street here in town and it's bad ass. We've installed the Forced Four shift box in the car and made some changes to our shifter, cleaned up some small wiring.

Going to run the car the week after next to make sure all is well. I hope this thing proves to be as reliable as I had hoped when we built it.

Glad to hear you got it figured out! :D Care to elaborate on what the "stupidity" consisted of? Hope you have a successful outing with it in a couple weeks. :thumb:

We had a great weekend at the Shootout with the car!

First pass was a 9.65 but the 60 ft's have just sucked with the car since it's been done. I looked at the nitrous we use to see what size jet was in it and found a, less than 30 shot! haha. So I upped the jet to a 75 shot and man did it wake up the car.

The trans is built here and the converter is a stock re-stalled 2g that we also do. 60' time dropped to a 1.34 and the car ran 9.1 at 148.27 mph. This is on an FP HTA86 at just 34 psi of boost and E85 from IGA in Norwalk. AFR's at the top of the pass were 10.6:1. So there is quite a lot left in it. This makes me happy since the goal is just to run consistent 8.90's and not break, or at least not often.

Everything on this car is available from us and all but the intake manifold and fuel cell are built here.

Well.....I'm thinking about a new project and I am going to put a few things up for sale to start on the new one.

First up is our absolutely gorgeous 1991 Eagle Talon. The car has been rebuilt from the ground up. I don't think I can even list everything that's been done but I'm going to attempt it:

Completely repainted, to perfection, by Elvin Rivera. Every inch of the car was painted and the bottom side is as beautiful as the top.

The car has a high compression Buschur Racing 2.0 in it, aluminum rods. BR Stage 3 head, BF272 cams. BR header with an FP HTA86 turbo and Tial V-band .82 turbine housing. BR Race FMIC. The i/c pipes are all custom built, 2.5" stainless steel. Tial waste gate. The car has a Nytrex dry single fogger nozzle nitrous kit on it, wired into and activated/controlled by the ECU. FIC2000 cc injectors, -8 feed and return lines on the fuel side. JM fab bolt in fuel cell with BR twin in tank fuel pumps and JM Fab intake manifold. The throttle body is a BR ported 65mm EVO unit. BR built 2g trans with Kiggly adapter plate and flexplate, BR stock 2g restalled converter. The car has run a 1.31 sixty foot with no burn out on M&H 26x8.5x17" slicks. The wheels are Rota look-a-like CE28n's powder coated in white. The car has Wilwood calipers and rotors all the way around with custom Brakeman pads. The car also has power brakes with a vacuum pump for staging. The rear end is a 3000GT with a custom built subframe from Gary Reese Chassis along with the complete cage being built by Reese Chassis, it is NHRA legal but has not been inspected. The axles are custom built ridiculously strong pieces from the DSS as well as the aluminum driveshaft being from them. The transfer case is a billet 300m unit from English Racing and the transfer case has Jeff Bush's brace on it. The radiator is a half width custom Fluidyne unit we had built and the car has a B&M trans cooler on it. Shifter is a B&M also. The trans is shifted with a Forced Four shift box, push button up/down on the steering wheel. The car has Autometer gauges, tach, water temp, oil pressure and an AEM wide band gauge. The car uses an AEM Series one ECU. Suspension is Megan Racing on all four corners and Jay Racing anti-toe in bushings are also TIG welded in the rear. Gary Reese also did the custom parachute mount, cables etc. and the car has a Stroud Chute on it. Kirky Pro Drag race seat. The factory dash has been retained. The hood and hatch are fiberglass, the rest of the car is all steel and we did no cutting on any of it to lighten it, I wanted a nice car. The car has door panels and rear panels all built by Reese chassis and they are powder coated in wrinkle black. The front, door and rear quarter glass is all new OEM glass and the driver side and passenger side windows do roll up and down with the manual cranks.

I don't believe there is a more perfect 1g on the planet. The car has run a best of 9.1 at 148 mph, that was at 30 psi on a 75 shot of nitrous. Obviously the car is capable of much quicker/faster times with more boost and or a turbo swap/jet swap. The goal was not to build the quickest or fastest anything, the goal was to build a beautiful 1g that we could run at a lot of races without breaking and targeting 8.90's. We spent most of this last year just sorting the car out and now it's ready to go racing. The car has less than 15 passes on it and less than a dozen dyno pulls.

I'm asking $25,000 but am open to reasonable offers.

Pictures for anyone interested are posted on the BR Facebook page.

never did get much of the suspension info on this car. I saw it at the shootout but was to awestruck to check out everything in detail. What coils do you run on drag cars like this? Also, I think a friend local to madison, WI has an old bushur car. It's a black/silver talon 90-91 had bushur across the window and similar motor build. AEM standalone first version.
