So I picked up a used Megan racing cat back. It was in really good shape and for cheap. Come to find out I am missing a adapter piece. Here is a link to the exhaust I picked up...http://www.meganracing.com/product_detail.asp?prodid=226&catid=14.

In this picture you can see two small sections with exhaust hangers on them. Are they only needed if you are running a cat? If I run a Megan downpipe will it eliminate the use of those adaptors? Im sure there are a ton of you on here running this exhaust.

from the looks of it you will need them or make a piece. the exhaust is a catback which means it would bolt to the factory cat. the pieces are a 3"/2.5 and 3"3". The downpipe will elimanate the cat but i would assume it still needs the test pieces to bolt up to. The best bet is bolt everything up and if you have a gap take it to an exhaust shop to get a filler piece made

I run that exhaust on my GST without the downpipe and it sounds AMAZING, and yes I still have the factory CAT. Let me know what down pipe you go with and how the car sounds after you install it :).
